You looked out the window from where you were sitting on the couch. Rain fell down and hit the glass, making a rhythmic tapping noise each time a drop touched the window. You closed your eyes, almost falling asleep from the calming sound of the rain. You felt someone shake you slightly and you opened your eyes. Nate stood in front of you. His eyes looked into yours and he smiled.

"What is it Nate?"

You said, stretching your arms out in front of you.

"Let's go outside."

You gave Nate a 'you're crazy' look and he just grinned at you, followed by a small chuckle.

"Come on Y/n, you like the rain don't you?"

You rolled your eyes and smiled back, then standing up.

"I can't believe we're doing this..."

You said, laughing as well. After putting on a long grey hoodie over your shirt, you opened the door and walked outside, with Nate following behind you. By the time you made it out there, the rain was falling a little bit harder, and your clothes started to become soaked in water. However, you didn't mind, and it didn't seem like it bothered Nate either. After putting the hood over your head to try to shield your hair, you ran through the yard with bare feet, the wet grass squishing under you each time you took a step. The rain became harder each minute, and the sky began to darken, but you were still having fun. Nate grabbed both of your hands, and spun around. You smiled and spun with him. He then lost balance and fell to the ground. Before you could catch your balance, you fell as well, landing on top of Nate. Water from the ground splashed onto both of you as you fell. You both laughed, your faces inches away from each other. Nate's hair was soaked and stuck to his forehead. You pushed it away from his eyes and swooped it back to how it normally was. He grinned once again and lifted up his head from the ground, your lips touching moments after. After a few seconds, he let go of the kiss and smiled. You grinned as well, then getting up. You held out a hand and Nate grabbed on as you pulled him back up to his feet. He then paused for a second. Nate put his hand on your shoulder and looked into your eyes with a smile.

"Tag."

He said, then bolting through the yard. You rolled your eyes and ran after him.

"I'm gonna get you!"

You said between breaths as you came closer and closer to him.

"No you're not Y/n!"

Nate said, making a sharp turn as he bolted back towards the house. It caught you off guard, making you slide slightly as you turned around, Nate many feet away from you. Your hood fell off of your head but you didn't care at this point, the only thing on your mind was catching up to Nate. After taking a deep breath, you followed him towards the house. He ran through the door and you soon caught up, closing the door behind you.

"I win."

He said between heavy breaths, running a hand through his hair as he tried to fix it.

"Yeah, good job."

You squeezed the water out of your hair and slipped the hoodie off, throwing it to the ground. It made a loud thud and splashed some water on the floor. Right after, a boom of thunder could be heard from outside.

"Wow, we came back in just in time."

You said, heading over to your room to change. Nate followed behind you and put a hand on your shoulder, stopping you. You turned to face him.

"I heard it's gonna rain in a few days..."

He said with a smile. You smiled back.

"Ok, you're on. I'm gonna win next time."

You replied with a grin. Nate just let out a small laugh and you continued on to your room, the sound of the rain becoming more faint as you ventured deeper into the house.
