Chapter 38
I had to wake up at 6 a.m., it was already 7:30 and I was running late. It's like school was really suppose to be a torture. Plus it was only made better by the fact that I was blessed to have math first period. I grabbed my bike and pedaled so hard my thighs were burning. I got to school at 8 and my bald headed red faced sweaty math teacher Mr.Thompson sat behind his desk already glaring at the door.
"Miss Williams late as usual," he said with an evil villain voice. Yes ever since moving into the Victor Division my attendance for first hasn't been the best. But then again it wasn't when I lived with Mike either.
I preceded to my desk with the three page "quiz" in hand. I sat down and with all my knowledge I filled in that first line. Name:______ After that I was a goner who most likely failed. The rest of my classes were all right. Surprisingly those last few minutes where the bell is supposed to ring was one of the worst. A teacher walked in gathering the detention students and when my name was called I was furious. I knew damn well it was that pig headed Mr.Thompson.
Bad thing was if they saw me pull out my phone they would take it away and I didn't have a guardian here to pick it up. So for an extra hour I was stuck doing pointless work that wouldn't even help my grade. I could feel Drake's anger wherever he was. The second we were released I speed walked- not ran because I tried and got yelled at.
Drake wasn't waiting at the meet up spot and I figured he wouldn't just sit and wait. Waiting wasn't really his cup of tea. I started biking on my own and winced when I saw the time and two missed calls. I recalled it waiting for an answer. Drake of course being too cool couldn't pick up my first call but when I dialed again he picked it up fast.
"Where the fuck have you been, what part of right after school did you not understand?" He said angrily and I heard the sound of what I assume to be his car in the background starting up.
"Sorry I was-"
"I don't give a shit, did I ask?" he cut me off. It was like he wanted to get me mad. "I'll be there in 5 you better be in my line of sight or I will run you over when I find you."
I was annoyed and tempted to hide but I wouldn't put it past the psycho to run me over. So I walked along the sidewalk beside my bike just as a black truck came speeding down. I recognized Drake in the driver seat with shades that made him look ridiculous... ridiculously hot but you didn't hear it from me.
"Get in," he said just as he skidded to a break. Deciding not to waste any of his time I flung my bike in the back and opened the door, jumping as high as I can just to sit.
"Where are we going?" I asked when Drake kept driving forward instead of going to Victor's building.
"There's not enough time for practice it takes a while to get there so we have to go now," He asked looking at me the entire time.
I panicked and pushed his face towards the road. "Well pay attention to where you're going!"
He chuckled and that's when I noticed he was actually in a good mood. I wasn't nosy enough to ask why, just glad he wasn't going to choke me out. "What about my clothes?" I asked when I realized my jeans and hoodie weren't very battle worthy.
