Chapter 10

I pull the big wooden door open and am greeted by an empty building. Its 5:30 in the morning and I got a text from Victor saying Saturday is the expiration date. So it being a Friday an all I figured I should meet Medusa and convince her to let me join.

Now the little bit and no biggy of information just came out. I am in love with Chase. And I can get how I would look like a stalker. But I am in no way a stalker... or that much of a stalker.

It was probably about the eighth time I had been following Chase when I found this building. I didn't follow him to stalk him but to thank him and then he just started disappearing so I started following and all those spy movies got in my head and one thing led to another.

I stomped my feet on the stairs angry that I was up so early making sure to make as much noise as possible.

Anyways that's all and no I will not say why I wanted to thank him because ... well I just don't know you guys that well.

Up my way towards the third pair of staircases I spotted Mary coming out of a room.

"Hey!" I called out as she closed the door behind her, her brown eyes glancing at me.

"What's up?" she smiled making her way towards me.

"Heading up to Al's room were gonna have a sleepover!" I squealed cheerfully moving my shoulders playfully.

I swear I heard Mary's jaw hit the floor and she looked at me confused.

I changed my playful expression into a serious one mouthing the word "not really" as Mary let out a relieved sigh and hell rose in flames once again.

"Wow that would have surprised me she doesn't let anyone in her room," Mary replied.

"I haven't even known the girl long but I loved that expression," I laughed at Mary who was breaking into a smile.

"Lucky you, I've known her since I first came here," she said.

"Why are you here?" I asked realizing that Mary was the sweet girl next door type.

"Yeah, yeah I know I'm the sweet girl next door type of person and not the type who would be in this place," she started and I turned my head to look at her suspiciously as if she were reading my mind

"And no I'm not reading your mind," she sighed out with a smile.

You sure. "Yes I'm sure," she finished and I was all but jumping out of my own skin.

"Gah! I hate flipping psychics don't make me drown you-" I started yelling until a banging against one of the walls frightened me and I jumped on Mary clinging on her shoulder like a cat who was showered in water.

She chuckled as I composed myself and glared at the room that the knocking came from.

"Maybe you should just wake your lazy ass up then!" I yelled loud enough for the person to hear as I heard them rustling towards the door.

The door flung open and a dark eyed red head stood by the doorframe his face twisted up in annoyance.

"Maybe you should be quieter before your literally dead silent."

"Oh I'm quaking because Raggedy Ann just said a cheesier threat than her hair," I replied not that proud and he rushed forward but got cut off by Mary.

"Watch it Ray you've already gotten a warning because of your last fight," Mary said as Ray glared over her shoulder at me who was stubbornly glaring back.

"Keep your rookie on a leash then," he huffed before retreating into his lair.

"What the heck I'm not some kind of dog," I pouted, "if anything I'm an adorable panda," I mumble afterwards and Mary looks at me in disbelief.
