Hey everybody thanks for reading :P there's no real schedule yet lol everything has been hectic. I went to Utah and California this weekend and I'm so tired still x.x  But I went out and got toasted and all I could think about was this unfinished chapter and now its done xD so I'm at peace and the world is right again

Chapter 39

I can hear the cheering from the other side of the glass. The violent yells as everyone cheered in excitement as Lacy hit me nonstop. I had my forearms up to protect my face against her punches but it didn't stop her from clawing at my arms trying to pull them away.

My breathing was unstable and I was trying to wiggle myself out from under her but it was useless. I moved my arms closer to my face and looked over at Drake. He mimicked a move where he twisted his right arm over in a circle and yanked down. I nodded before focusing back at Lacy. I pushed her arms out of the way and when she punched down with her left hand I moved.

I blocked it pulling my arms over her body her left arm stuck in between behind my head and trapping her right arm between my elbow. I locked my legs in hers and pushing off my back and using all I had I turned us until I was on top. I had no mercy. I swung one after one at her face, her legs still pinned with mine. I hooked her in the right side of her face and she cried out in pain. I needed a break and quickly unhooked myself from her standing back and trying to catch my breathe.

I was leaning farther back gasping for air. My entire face and chest hurt, my arms felt like they were tattooed with Lacy's fingernails. Lacy got up quickly her balance off a bit as she stepped to the right. I got into my stance my fist up. I rushed her jumping up and punching her hard in the right side of her face again. She fell again but when I moved to her she swung her legs so quick I didn't see them both coming until I was knocked down too.

I crawled away fast until my back hit the cold hard glass. My body was tired out already. She got up and walked towards me kicking her feet out to hit me but I'd roll out of the way. I kept dodging her kicks and punches. She tried to strike me in the face, leaving an opening. I backed away kicking her straight in the ribs making her arch forward. I kicked her again in the head and she fell down her body hitting the ground violently.

I couldn't keep taking breaks during my actual fight. I forced myself up, it was the nerves making my reactions slow. I felt like there was so much on the line. If I won this fight the entire Class A Victor Division will rank up to another match. If I lost this I would have to do it from scratch and then I still would need to beat Supreme Division in a match.

It sounded more complicated than it was. The rankings started from the bottom Class, then as the ranks get higher the letters appear and go from D-A and Victor Division was Class A. The highest rank had no class and was just a Division. I don't have a passion for fighting but I see those who do and I can't help but feel some of what they feel. I think of Victor, so young yet he's doing this, in fact I've heard he had a bachelor degree in business. Granted most of the people here don't have a passion for fighting per se because Victor Division was a shelter but they love this. I've seen them in this arena, they're hard work and being praised, they glowed in it they belonged here.

Surprisingly this information calmed me. I didn't feel distracted or as nervous because I wanted to win, I wanted to feel even an inch of that glow that everybody else had. Lacy stood up and we were face to face again. Her punches were slow compared to her kicks. Every fist thrown at me I dodged it waiting for a chance to do a combo hit where I would hit her twice in the gut then do an uppercut.

I only got one chance to do it but Lacy quickly backed and kicked my chin causing my head and body to fall. Except I refused to fall, I dug my feet onto the ground. It was a mistake. Lacy kicked my stomach from the left and punched me from the right once I regained myself. Her hits kept going until I felt my back hit a surface. I was cornered. I ducked and punched Lacy multiple times in the stomach before she dug her nails in my hair and turned me.
