The Issues With Alex

Scott didn't know what to do when he got the text message. It was so blunt and straight forward. He had been staring at it for ten minutes, unaware of how to reply.

Allie: I think I still love you...
Allie: I'm in Los Angeles and I'm so scared. I don't know how to approach you anymore.

So Scott didn't answer. He didn't know how too, his mind shut off at the words from one of his closest friends mouth.

It wasn't that long ago that Alex was telling Scott to go to Los Angeles and be with Mitch. He sounded so sincere when saying it. Scott didn't even have a thought about Alex still having feelings for him.

What happened to that Jake boy? Alex had told
Scott he liked a boy named Jake, but now things appeared to be different. A low knock sounds from Scott's door. He never thought he would think this, but Scott was actually a little happy that Mitch wasn't here for this.

Scott opens the door and looks at the other blonde. Alex had his head low and was fidgeting with his hand. He slowly looks up at Scott.

But Scott just hugs him, he knew this had to be hard on him. Alex felt like crying, but hugged back anyway. Scott pulls him inside. They both sit on the couch.

"I'm so sorry. This is so unexpected." Alex says, looking down once again. Scott nods.

"I don't know what to say to be quite honest."
Scott mutters. "You know where my heart is, Alex. I can't believe yours is with me."

"I can't either. It's not supposed to be, but things kind of happened." Alex says.

"What happened to Jake?"

"Jake?" Alex starts. "He is still with his boyfriend. He kind of turned into a jack ass. I didn't mean to start to develop feelings again,
I really didn't. It's just, you started to be on my mind a lot and then it was constant. I am always thinking about you and I need you to help me get over you."

"I don't know what you want me to do, Alex. I really, really don't."

"I need a sign to let me know that I can't fall for you again." He sputters. "God, Mitch is going to hate me even more."

"He doesn't hate you." Alex looks at Scott like he was stupid. "Okay, he dislikes you but it isn't hate."

"It's obvious." Alex says. "I should go, Scott. I'm really sorry for just showing. I just don't know what to do anymore." Alex gets up and heads to the door when Scott nods.

Jake: I'm Jake, Alex's friend.

Scott: Hi....

Jake: I know this is probably weird, but you're his ex right?

Scott: I am

Jake: You've broken up with him, I need some advice. How do I break up with my boyfriend?

Scott: Umm....its been a long time since I've broken up with someone. Be nice to them? Tell them now you are feeling? Maybe try to be friends afterwards.

Jake: Alex still likes you I think.

Scott: oh

Jake: you are all he ever talks about. I'm jealous to be honest.

Scott: For fucks sake. Do you like him?

Jake: I do...

Scott: Please tell him. I'm kind of with someone in a fucked up and odd way and it is not Alex. I can't deal with him wanting me again.

Jake: Mitch?

Scott: Alex tell you that?

Jake: Like I said, you're all he talks about.

Scott: I'm going to be honest with you. Awhile ago, before I moved, Alex told me he had started liking you but you were dating someone. He thought you were going to break up soon, but you didn't. I think he has given up on you and came back to me thinking I'd run back. He has never really been alone in his life. Be honest with him.

Jake: Thank you. That means a lot. I'll talk to him.

"So, um, Alex told me he liked me again the other day." Scott says to Mitch. Scott could feel him shake his head within his arms. "But I think it's because he is having a hard time being alone. He gave up on the other boy he liked because he was with someone, I don't know why he'd come back to me. I'm practically with someone." Mitch points at his notebook. Scott grabs it and hands it to Mitch.

Scott, we both know we aren't boyfriends again. If you want to be with Alex, I can't stop you. I want you to be happy.

"Woah, Mitch. I never said I wanted to be with him. I'm all for you, not Alex. I was just letting you know because I felt it was something you'd want to know." Scott explains.

I almost had a panic attack. I thought you were leaving me.

Mitch hides his face into Scott's shoulder in embarrassment, a small smile across his face. He let out a little laugh.

"You're so cute." Scott says and hold his head up, lightly kisses the others boys plump lips. "I'm glad you like your new notebook." Mitch nods rapidly.

I'm in love with it.

"I'm in love with you." Scott says, Mitch blushing at the cute remark. Scott smiles at the red tint across Mitch's face as he hides it again. "And I'm still obsessed with your tattoo. The fact that I mean that much to you is simply amazing." Mitch smiles.

We were gonna have a problem if you went back to Alex and I fucking tattooed your name on my body.

"I'd never leave you. I love you way too much."

I love you too.

"You should work on saying it with Mrs. Carmichael soon. I'd love to hear you say that you love me with your words, I think I'd cry."

We are working on other things right now, maybe afterwords. I'll let her know.

"I love that woman. She goes out of her way to still have session with you even from a different state."

She is like my other mother.

"God bless her."

She didn't sneeze.

Scott laughs. "I hate you." He jokes. Mitch laughs, sticking his tongue out slightly and smiling.
