But the next chapter is, umm, just be ready....

Kirstie decided that she needed to tell Jeremy, because she couldn't do it anymore. She cheated on him and he deserved to know. It's wasn't fair to him.

She knocks on his apartment door, even if it was 4:00 in the morning. She had been up all night thinking about it, and she couldn't keep it back anymore.

Everyone had left a few days ago, including Scott who moved into a different apartment. She had no one to talk to, because Mitch couldn't do anything while he was feeling so down about Scott leaving the apartment they had shared.

The door opens and Jeremy appears in his pajamas and messy hair. His tired face soon turns to worried when he sees Kirstie's tear stained face and clothes.

"Kitty, what's wrong?" He asks, pulling her into his arms and walking inside of his apartment. She just cries into him, but pushes away when she realizes that he would be extremely upset after what she tells him.

She finally calms herself down enough to speak to the brunette in front of her. She takes a deep breath.

"Jeremy, you know I love you and all, right?" Jeremy nods, confusion written on his face. "I didn't mean to do this too you."

"Do what, Kirstie? What happened?"

"I'm so sorry. I have to break up with you." She says, choking on her tears. She couldn't believe she had said it. "Or at least take a break for a while until I get myself together."

"Wait, why? What did I do, Kirst? I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do anything to hurt you."

"You changed, Jer."

"I did?"

"And that is why I love you. Because you did something awful in high school, but I chose to be with you. And then you changed and became this amazing man and you're so sweet. I can't do this to you because you changed for me and I don't deserve it. I'm not like you. I can't change like you can."

"Kirstie..."

"I cheated on you." She finally says. "And I can't stay with you because I know you'd never hurt me. I hurt the people I love and I can't do anything to stop myself." She says, tears falling down her face so fast.

"W-what?"

"You don't deserve it. You changed for me and I tried so hard not to do something stupid but I couldn't control myself. He was there and you weren't and it felt like it did awhile ago."

"A-awhile ago? Who was it?"

"Jer..."

"Was it Avi?" Kirstie couldn't say anything. "I fucking knew he couldn't just leave us. He had to fuck with me. After two years and he still is holding a grudge and did this purposely, didn't he?"

"I kissed him."

"What?"

"I was the one that kissed him, he just kissed back."

"Oh."

"It's a long story, Jeremy. I'm so sorry. I hid it from you for too long and I can't do this too you and I'm so sorry. I don't deserve you." Jeremy shakes his head. "Please say something..."

"I don't know what to say. I'm glad you broke up with me, because I didn't want to be the one to do it." Kirstie couldn't stop crying, and hearing that made her want to cry a whole lot more. "I love you still, don't think that it's changed because of it. I know you still have feelings for Avi, I've always known it. I guess, come back to me when you figure out which one of us the one for you..."

"That might take a long time, Jeremy. Move on. Find the one perfect for you."

"Kirstie, I've already found her. Just because you haven't doesn't mean I didn't."

"I'm sorry."

"Me too. You shouldn't drive. Stay on the couch?"

"No, no, no. I need to go home. Mitch doesn't know I'm gone."

"Let me drive you. It's dark out."

"No, please. I am fine. I'm sorry. I have to go. I'll call you when I figure things out." Jeremy nods and walks Kirstie to the door, opening it to allow in her to leave.

"Thanks for telling me." Jeremy says. "And not lying." Kirstie nods. "Can I have one more kiss? I'm going to miss you." Kirstie leans up and places her lips onto Jeremy's shortly, pulling away after a second. She looks down and heads out, hoping Mitch hadn't woke up and was wondering where she was. Kirstie had left her phone at home, she didn't want to be distracted.

But when Kirstie got into the car, she couldn't bring herself to drive, only hold onto the steering wheel and cry. She didn't know which one was her true love, and it was the most frustrating thing in the world. Avi was caring and understanding and still missed her after all of this time. He accepted it when Jeremy took her and still wanted to give her another chance when she told him she cheated. Jeremy wanted to break up, just not for good. But he was also understanding and so sweet.

This was the biggest decision of Kirstie's life. She would most likely spend the rest of her life with one of these boys and that thought was too much to handle. One decision could change her life completely.

It could determine her career, where she'd live, her kids, and her parents opinions. They liked Jeremy right now, but they didn't know that she cheated. They never even knew about Avi, she wasn't allowed to date then. She was allowed to her senior year, so she told her parents about Jeremy.

She didn't know how dating Avi could be now. He changed since sophomore year, even if it wasn't that noticeable. Kirstie could see the small change in attitude, or how his posture was more slouched rather than upright like it used to be.

She felt bad for him, he was living alone in Arlington. Esther had moved away too, but she wasn't informed about the big undecided group meet up, but she was with an amazing guy named Darien.

This left Avi alone.
