❝  lonely memories ❞

"justin, how am i meant to hide from the paps? they probably already know that you came to this airport. they'll catch on," selena points out to justin who's on the phone to her.

"they don't know i'm here. i came in through the back exit. just walk in normally so they know you're going on the plane, and people would think i'm still in l.a. so no rumours will spread," justin responds. they said their goodbyes after when the car selena was in was parked out-front. she knows she shouldn't be nervous, justin planned everything out smoothly.

getting out of the car, shutting the door, she walks onto the pavement, carrying her purse. her sunglasses were pinched onto her nose to protect her eyes from the flashing lights. just on cue, paps were clicking their expensive camera and screaming for her attention.

"are you meeting with justin bieber?" one screamed and selena had the urge to ask if they saw him incase so she could blow this whole thing off. but she didn't, of course. her bodyguards kept on pushing the paps away and guiding selena.

"okay, that's enough! you're not allowed in this area," the security guard shouts at the paps once selena passed the boarder.

after a few minutes and selena finished with the check-out, somebody confronted selena, "you're with justin bieber, right?"

"i – er – what?"

"selena gomez?"

"yes, that's me."

"follow me. justin is waiting for you." and, by that, selena picks up her purse from the ground and scurry behind the man.

"who are you, may i ask?" selena asks when she realised she was following a stranger who claims that justin sent him.

"co-pilot for justin's private jet. he told me he was waiting for you and for me to fetch you," he said, still walking swiftly while selena tried hard to stay in the same pace as him.

"right. so, where's the plane going to?"

"justin hasn't told you? best not to either," the guy smiles sweetly to selena, slowing his speed – finally, selena thought. she scowls at his response as he chuckles. "this way," he says, once again going in the same speed to the never-ending journey.

getting closer to the destination, selena's stomach churns, hoping to god this trip goes smoothly for both of them.

justin was spread out on the couch that was inside the plane, a nervous selena watching his every move. she didn't like surprises, so going on a plane to a place that was unknown to her was scary.

"will you stop that?" justin snaps finally, annoyed that a normal conversation wasn't flowing between them like it used to.

"stop what?"

"staring at me and being quiet! why are you like this?" selena snaps her head to the door where the commissioner's were, not wanting them to hear their conversation.

"sorry," selena says quietly once looking back to justin. she was sitting on the single chair, staring at justin while he tried to get comfortable. none of them talked afterwards, so the lingering silence stayed there until the flight was done. after five minutes of being still – after they had landed – the pilot came out, giving them the thumbs up to leave.

"thank you!" selena says once more before the pilot goes back onto the open plane after helping justin and selena.

"you said that like fifty times, selena. i think they get it," justin jokes.

"sorry," selena says again in that same quiet voice from before.

"what is wrong with you?!" justin shouts, snapping once more. the airport fell in silence, eyes diverted to them and away, then the sounds picks up.

"there's nothing wrong with me," selena says, looking around to check if anyone was eavesdropping or looking.

"then why are you acting like this? there must be a reason."

"let's just go," selena urges.

"selena! we're not moving until you tell me." selena knew justin meant this as they was already in the centre of the airport fighting with one another.

"what do you expect me to do, justin? act like you ignoring me – even when you think you cleared everything up – didn't kill me inside? it fucking hurt, justin. and i still have no proper answer to why!"

"because you're making me mad! don't you see? i try every time when i see you, or even text you, to try distance myself to get no feelings attached. it didn't work!"

"so – so, ignoring me was your solution? act like i meant nothing towards you – like i was some one night stand?"

"don't act like that dilemma never popped up into your mind before. look – see it this way, i'm speaking to you now, that shows something, right?" and that was that. justin walks away from selena, leaving her. selena swiftly follows behind, also fuming. but he was right. selena did think of the solution of ignoring each other might work; and him not ignoring her anymore showed something – he couldn't do it anymore.

but the one thing that altered her more was that she didn't know where her feelings were. she couldn't choose if she liked him like he claimed he liked her.

a/n;
it seems like they've only known each other for such a short amount of time, but i think it's the way i'm writing the story that seems like it. they've known each other (since the story started) long enough to begin developing feelings for each other, so don't think the story is unrealistic.

justin finally confessed his feelings, in the most un-romantic way!! lolol

anyway, i'm going to justin's concert tomorrow!! i'll be too anxious to post anything probably so i thought i might as well post!!
