Hiccup woke up sleepily. He cracked his back and yawned. He opened his eyes wearily. He noticed someone was missing.
"Uh guys, where's Merida?" He asked. Jack and Rapunzel sat up slowly. They noticed she was gone.
"Probably making another deal with Pitch." Jack said. Rapunzel hit him in the arm. "Ow!"
"No but seriously, where is she?" Hiccup asked again.
"I have about as much of a clue as you." Jack said. Rapunzel frowned.
"It looks like she left." Rapunzel said. Hiccup stood up and walked to where Merida was sleeping.
"There's no sign of a struggle." Hiccup said.
"Since when did you become all Sherlock Holmes?" Jack asked sarcastically. Hiccup and Rapunzel both looked confused. "Oh right, never mind that remark."
"Anyway, it looks like she just, upped and left I guess." Hiccup said sadly.
"Maybe we should too." Jack said. He stood up and started to float. "She probably left for a good reason."
"Yeah, I guess." Rapunzel sighed. Hiccup nodded and they started walking again.
"That's odd though." Hiccup said.
"What? Merida leaving?" Jack asked.
"Well that, and the fact that for two nights in a row none of us have had a nightmare." Hiccup explained. Jack and Rapunzel nodded.
"Yeah, you're right." Rapunzel said.
"Two more days." Jack said randomly.
"Two more days?" Hiccup asked.
"Until you know, the fight between us and Pitch." Jack said.
"Fight? Who said there was going to be a fight?" Rapunzel asked.
"Well it's kind of obvious." Jack said. He sped up his floating.
"Great. All I have is my frying pan." Rapunzel said. Jack and Hiccup laughed. Jack's face suddenly lit up.
"I have a great idea!" Jack said. He picked up Rapunzel. She squealed.
"What are you doing?" Hiccup yelled to Jack.
"Making a shorter trip! Grab on!" He yelled. Hiccup shrugged and grabbed onto Rapunzel's braided hair. Rapunzel laughed. Jack sped as fast as he could while holding the weight of both Rapunzel and Hiccup.
"At this rate it's only going to be one day left!" Hiccup said queasily. Jack laughed.
"This is great!" He yelled.
