Chapter 5

Kathryn’s POV

“Arrrrggggghhhh! That jerk! Bwisit talaga siya!” nagsasalita ako mag-isa habang nasa loob ng elevator. Buti na lang wala akong kasabay ngayon dito, baka napagkamalan na kong baliw dito kung nagkataon. Paano ba naman kasi napakayabang at antipatiko nung lalaking yun. Akala mo kung sino siya. I hope I don’t see that guy anymore. Naiisip ko pa lang mukha niya, my blood is already boiling. “Relax lang Kath, papunta ka na sa office.” nag deep breathing ako para mawala ang inis ko kasi any minute lang nasa 20th floor na ako.

*Ting!* (sound ng elevator :D)

I went out of the elevator and made my way to Ms. Salazar’s office. I knocked at the door but no one answered. May lumapit sa akin na babae at sinabi na wala pa raw si Ms. Salazar, na-traffic lang daw pero malapit na rin siya. She told me to stay in the waiting area. Naghihintay lang ako nang biglang may nagtext.

I was about to reply to her text message when a woman wearing thin-rimmed glasses approached me. I guess she is in her late 20s. “Are you Ms. Kathryn Manuel?” she asked while smiling. I kept my phone inside my bag and returned her a smile.

“Yes Maam.”

“Okay Ms. Manuel. I will be your instructor for your training here in Mirage Estates. Welcome to the Managerial Department, I am Rebecca Salazar and I am the Asst. Supervisor here. You will be working as the assistant of the head of this department. Mrs. Zamayla is currently the acting head because the position will be given to the son of one of the major stockholders of this company. He will arrive three days from now and until then you will be working with Mrs. Zamayla, okay?” She explained.
