"So what was it like?" Ashton asked Reese as they got off the train.
"It was like sleeping, for a bloody long time." Reese replied.
"Grace!"
"Lewis." Grace walked up to greet the boy. He placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Hey, you're going to write to me over summer, right?"
"Without a doubt."
"Alright, good. I'll see you next year."
"Unless I decide to drop out." The two laughed.
"I'll see you later."
"Bye."
"Um, Grace." Reese whispered.
"Yeah?"
"Don't mean to be a buzzkill, but I think your dad saw all of that."
"Merlin, help me." Grace muttered.
"I wish you luck. Just know if need to run away, my house is open."
"Got it."
"I'll see you later."
"Bye Reese." Grace took a deep breath and walked towards her father.
"Grace!"
"What now." Grace grumbled. She turned as William ran up to her. "Oh, hello William." Grace bent down to meet the boys height.
"Since we never did exams this year, you'll help me with them next year, right?"
"Of course I will."
"Okay, thanks." William gave Grace a quick hug and ran away.
"Who was that?" Ben asked, walking over to his daughter. Grace stood up.
"That was William, the boy I help with his homework."
"What about the other boy?"
"Oh, no one." Ben folded his arms.
"Grace Elizabeth Kellner, who is that boy?"
"No one!"
"We'll talk about this when we get home."

"We're home, and there's nothing to talk about."
"Grace!"
"What?"
"I don't think he's a no one. Now who is he? A friend? A random boy? More than a friend?"
"It's really none of your concern."
"Of course it is! I'm your father it is all of my concern."
"It's not!"
"Grace!"
"Just mind your own business for once!"
"If my daughter is dating someone I think I deserve to know."
"You think that, but I don't think that."
"I know he's your boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend."
"Aw, Grace has a boyfriend."
"Dad!"
"Grace is all grown up!"
"Stop it!" Ben sat down in the dining room.
"Is he cute?"
"Dad!"
"Well, is he?"
"Maybe just a little."
"A little? What house is he in?"
"Slytherin, but he's really nice."
"What's his name?"
"Lewis."
"Lewis?"
"That's what I said."
"Do you like him?"
"What?"
"Do you really like him?"
"Well, yeah."
"Then alright."
"You're okay with it?" Ben laughed.
"Okay with me little girl dating a boy? No, not okay with it. But if you're happy and you like him, then I'll have to deal with it." Grace smiled and hugged her dad.
"Thank you. Oh, by the way, Reese is coming over tomorrow for a sleep over."
"Because she hasn't slept enough for the past six months." Grace let go of her dad and just stared at him.
"Did you just–really?"
"Bad timing?"
"There would never be good timing for that."
"Right, sorry."

The next day Grace spent her morning in her room, writing in her journal. There was a new spell she was working on. A dangerous one, but also one that could save lives.
"Grace, Reese is here!" Ben's voice echoed up the stairs into her room. Grace closed the journal and walked downstairs. Reese and her mother stood in the living room.
"Grace!" Laura held out her arms and hugged Grace.
"Laura, how are you?"
"I'm great, how are you?"
"I'm good. How's the baby?" Grace asked.
"Annoying." Reese mumbled.
"Reese! Do not talk bad about your baby brother. You've only seen him for day."
"Yeah, because I was petrified when he was born." Laura rolled her eyes.
"Reese, quit being so over dramatic." Reese gave a questioning look at her mother.
"Over dramatic?" She mouthed.
"Well, I should probably be going. Reese, I'll pick you up tomorrow at noon."
"Bye mum." Reese gave her mother a hug. Once Laura was gone Reese turned to Grace. "Alright, we have something very important to discuss."
