"Oh no, I don't think the message has sunk in just yet." Professor Umbridge's taunting voice echoed in Grace's head. Grace walked along the corridor, quickly wiping tears. The back of her hand seared with pain as blood still flowed from the cuts.
"Grace." Someone whispered. She looked up and quickly wiped her tears.
"Wha-who said that?" Someone grabbed her hand and pulled her into an empty classroom. She yelped in and pain as the person squeezed her left hand.
"Shh!" Fred quickly shushed.
"What in Merlin's name are you doing?" Grace asked.
"I'm waiting for George, we're—are you okay?" He asked her. Grace nodded.
"I'm fine."
"Umbridge's quill?"
"Uh, how do you know?"
"Oh come on love. You don't think George and I haven't gotten detention yet?"
"I've had it for the past three weeks! She says the message hasn't sunk in yet, but I think it has!" Fred grabbed Grace's hand and flipped it over.
"I will not tell lies." He mumbled. He wiped his thumb over the message, causing the blood to smear.
"Ow!" Grace hissed.
"Sorry."
"She's a wretched woman! This is torture! I'm going to have a scar here for the rest of my life. I don't need a reminder of her every bloody time I lift up my wand." The door opened and George entered, carrying a load of supplies.
"I got the—oh, hello Grace."
"Hello, George." Grace said with a smile.
"Everything all right?"
"Yeah, its fine."
"Fine? Look at your hand." Fred held up Grace's hand for George to see.
"Merlin, is that from Umbridge?" Grace nodded.
"Yeah, her stupid quill. You two get going with whatever your doing. I'm sure Reese might know what to do." Grace smiled and left the twins alone.
When she entered the common room she spotted Reese sitting in front of the fire. Throwing papers into the flames to be exact.
"What are you doing?" Grace asked her.
"I do the homework for Professor Umbridge then when we get it back and I throw it in the fire."
"Okay.....why?"
"Because I hate her."
"Alright then. Hey, do you have anything that could help with this?" Grace walked over and held out her hand for Reese.
"Merlin, is it the quill?"
"Yes."
"Murtlap Essence, soak your hand in it." Reese stated before turning back to throwing papers in the fire.
"Oh, I should've thought of that. Thanks Reese."
"No problem."
Putting her hand in yellow substance made Grace sigh in relief. It caused the pain to disappear, but not the scar. Her other hand played with the necklace around her neck. Before they left for Hogwarts, Grace went on a frantic search for it. She regretted chucking it, but was glad she found it.
The next day the pain was gone. The scar still remained and taunted Grace. Luckily for her, Professor Umbridge told her that the detentions were over with.
"You should tell someone, Grace. Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, anyone!" Ashton shouted.
"Drop it Ashes! My detentions are over with and I'll just have to deal with the scar."
"She's evil."
"I'm very aware of her personality."
"Have you told your dad?"
"No."
"Grace!"
"Come off it, Ashton! I'll tell my father or he'll see the scar. It's not like I'm getting married and not telling anyone."
"That's true......are you though?"
"No!"
"Hey, you never know." Grace scoffed.
"Ashton, you're unbelievable." Grace told him, but she couldn't help but smile.
"Hey, there's Aspen and Cedric." Ashton opened his mouth to yell for them. He closed it quickly when he saw what was happening. Cedric learned in and kissed Aspen on top of the head. The two turned the corner, unaware of Ashton and Grace.
"Merlins beard." Ashton muttered.
"You don't think?" Grace began.
"They must! You don't just randomly kiss someone on the head! Only parents do that to their children." Ashton finished.
"Do we say anything?"
"I.....I'm not really sure what we do."

"Sirius, Cat said she would do it for us."
"Why Florence? We don't need it!"
"Better safe than sorry! Would you rather have it or have me be killed? Then you'd have to live with the fact—"
"Florence, don't say that."
"—that you could've done something." Sirius sighed.
"How do we know it works?"
"Because Cedric is alive, isn't he?"
"Alright, fine, I'll get the spell with you. Even thought we'll both be fine."
"Oi, don't jinx anything, and thank you."
