"Lets go, lets go, lets go!" Reese screamed as they walked towards the first task. Grace saw Lewis walking there as well.

"I'll meet you guys there. I have someone to talk to."

"Okay bye!" Reese broke out into a run.

"She's excited." Ashton said. Aspen had went down earlier to wish Cedric good luck.

"You should've heard her all last night."

"That must've been loads of fun. I'll see you there." Grace waved goodbye and walked up to Lewis.

"Hey." She greeted. Lewis glanced at her.

"Hello." There was no enthusiasm in his voice. Grace grabbed his wrist and led him into the courtyard.

"What's going on?" She demanded.

"Nothing is going on! I'll see you later." Grace grabbed his wrist again.

"Lewis, don't act like I'm stupid because I'm not. Ever since Halloween you've been acting differently. You brush me off like I'm a bug flying around your head. You act like you've never met me before. Sometimes we act like a couple other times you act like I'm a stranger! I'm your girlfriend tell me what's going on!"

"You want to know what's going on?"

"What?" Grace croaked.

"Some days I couldn't stop thinking abut you! Now I can't stop thinking about why I'm wasting my time with you!"

"Lewis, I—" Grace stopped speaking. She finally gave up with trying to reason with him.

"Well, I'm sorry," Grace shouted. "Sorry I mistook all the times we laughed. All the times you kissed me! All those days we spent together. I'll think twice before I waste my time on someone again. I just have one question."

"What is it?"

"Just tell me why."

"I don't love you anymore." Then he walked away.

Five words

All it took was five words for Grace to feel worthless. Five words changed the meaning of love for Grace. Five words changed her life. Five words is all it took for her heart to shatter and blow away.

Grace has never felt so stupid and lost in her life. She felt stupid for not noticing. She felt lost because she was still lost in his ocean eyes.

Grace walked over and sat at the base of a tree. She leaned her head back against the trunk as the tears began to fall. The love she held for the boy fell with them. All the happy memories and all the kisses left and fell with her tears.

"Where's Grace?" Aspen asked.

"Maybe she's with Lewis." Ashton suggested.

"Probably." Reese said, but Aspen disagreed.

"Lewis is over there." Aspen said, pointing to the boy. He sat with some of his Slytherin friends.

"She's not with the twins, they're over there." Ashton said. Indeed she wasn't.

"Maybe she ran back up to grab something. Be right back." Reese left the other two and headed off to find Grace. Reese spotted her sitting by a tree.

"Grace, come on, the first task is about to start."

Grace looked up at Reese. Her cheeks was lined with tears while her eyes were puffy. Then, Reese asked the stupidest question ever.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah."

"No you're not, you're not okay. Don't say you're okay because you're not, and that's okay."

"I'm so stupid." Reese sat down next to Grace.

"You're not stupid."

"I am! I let him play me like a chess piece for over a year!" Reese understood. It was Lewis who did this.

"Grace, you're not stupid. Lewis is stupid. He caught such an amazing girl and let her go." Grace broke down into tears again. Reese wrapped her arm around Grace's shoulders and pulled her closer.

"Grace, I'm so sorry this happened to you. You don't deserve this." Grace didn't reply. She was too busy sobbing as her heart was torn from her chest. Finally, she spoke.

"I handed my heart over to him and he broke it. I knew he was acting different. Something was different. I loved him Reese, but he didn't love me. I fell in love with those stupid ocean eyes.

"Grace, I know you're hurting. If I can I'll make him hurt. I know saying put on a smile and act like it's okay won't help. I know it won't, that's stupid advice. Cry all you want, you'll always have a shoulder to cry on. However, Lewis broke your heart and he's going to build himself off you pain. So when you seen him, don't acknowledge him. If he's going to treat you like you're nothing you'll do the same. As soon as he turns his back if you need to cry, cry. It hurts worse if you just hold it in. Now, I say we go back to our dormitory. Forget the first task. You need me more than anything."

As much as Reese wanted to see the first task, she wouldn't leave Grace. Her best friend needed her a lot more than Reese needed to be at the task.

Reese snuck some food at dinner and quickly headed back up. Grace cried until she couldn't cry anymore. Eventually the tears resurfaced. Reese was there the whole time. She supported her best friend until Grace had fallen asleep.

"Sweet dreams, Grace."
