With all the events happening over the few months, Grace was happy to be returning home for the holidays. She's heard just enough of Sirius Black and was ready to get away from the Dementors and the fact that the man had been inside the school.

With her hair tied back in a bun, Grace stepped off the train and began to look for her father. Once she spotted the man, she quickly hurried off to greet him.

"Grace!" Ben cried. He reached down and engulfed his daughter in a hug.

"I have so much to tell you about." Grace told her father.

"Well, we better get home then."

Grace sat at the dining table as her father began dinner.

"Florence Anderson." Grace finally said.

"What about her?"

"Someone said she hasn't been seen in ten years."

"Twelve since I've seen her. She disappeared after Sirius Black went to Azkaban."

"Were they a thing?"

"Mmm.....something like that."

"Oh."

"Who said they haven't seen Florence in ten years?"

"A girl said it was her mum who hasn't seen her in ten years."

"What's the girls name?"

"Leslie Arkson." Ben stopped what he was doing.

"Did you say Arkson? What's the mothers name?"

"Katie or something like that."

"Catalina?"

"Yeah!" Ben seemed very out of focus, so out of focus he cut his finger on the knife .

"Bloody hell!" He cried, along with other cuss words. Grace jumped up to help him.

"Oh Merlin, here, go clean up and I'll finish dinner."

"No Grace, I'll get it."

"No, you're obviously having trouble focusing. Go, I'll get it." Grace said sternly. Saying no more, Ben disappeared down the hall to the bathroom. Grace sighed and turned her attention to dinner.

"He should've just used magic." She mumbled.

Grace awoke the next morning later than usual. As she left her bedroom she noticed how quiet the house was.

"Something isn't right," Grace whispered. "Dad!" Grace shouted, but had no reply. She walked downstairs and found a letter.

Grace,

There was an emergency at work causing me to go in for the day. I'm not sure what time I'll be home, but I don't think it will be till late. I promise I'll make it up to you.

Love, Benjamin aka the best father ever.

"Benjamin, you never cease to be a child." Grace said with a laugh. She retreated back up to her room to work in her journal. Pulling out the journal, she quickly she realized she needed a quill.

"Is there not one on my desk?" Grace cried as she looked on the desk. She grabbed a small box and unlocked it. "Here we are." Grace took out the quill along with the ink. Her eyes landed on a pair of Gryffindor gloves. The ones Fred gave to her last year.

Grace took out the gloves and held them in her hands. She only wore them a few times, but she could still remember the warmth they brought to her hands. Grace suppressed her smile and returned the gloves to the box.

Sitting at the desk, Grace took out the journal and began to get to work on one spell that would change everything.

After Grace ate lunch, she wrapped the Ravenclaw scarf around her neck and put on the gloves Fred gave her. Then, she walked outside and was met with the cold December air, which brought a smile to her face.

Grace walked into the snow and began to build a snowman. She may have been doing it alone, but she was still having a blast.

After Grace finished her snowman she walked towards the lake. During the summer she'd swim in it with friends, but now it was frozen as the snow covered it like a blanket.

When Grace returned to Hogwarts it would only be a matter of time before she had to discuss her future careers with Professor Flitwick.

Reese suggested Auror, saying Grace's spells could help catch the dark wizards. Ben suggested healer while someone else suggested Obliviator, which Grace quickly denied.

Grace had always wanted to work for the Ministry, but she didn't know what department she would ever belong in. She understood why her spells would help with being an Auror. However, she'd have to give out her spells to the world. She could also see herself being a healer. Grace was torn between the two.

Grace decided she shouldn't dwell on it too much. Instead, she continued walking along the edge of the frozen lake.
