Grace Kellner, the girl who came up with the spell to save Cedric's life. The girl who looked almost exactly like her late mother. That girl was now sitting in Dumbledore's study, facing Professor McGonagall.
"Professor Dumbledore must deal with something else right now, but please Miss Kellner don't be shy to tell me exactly what Mr. Diggory meant." Professor McGonagall acknowledged.
Grace had seen the woman mad on several different accounts. Not only did she seem mad, there was something else. Confusion lined her faced along with two other emotions Grace had only seen once before. The emotions Grace saw when she told Professor McGonagall she pulled a prank with the twins.
Utter disbelief and shock.
"I don't know what he meant." Grace lied.
"Do not mistaken me for a fool Miss Kellner. I clearly heard Mr. Diggory thank you for the reason he was alive."
"I-I would rather discuss that matter when Professor Dumbledore gets here as well."
"Very well." Then Professor McGonagall left, leaving Grace on her own.
Grace tapped her fingers on her knee as she looked around the room. She constantly ran her fingers through her honey hair. To make her luck worse Grace's journals were sitting in her bag which was resting by her feet. Saving someone's life shouldn't result in punishment. However, Grace couldn't help but worry that she might get expelled.
After what seemed like years the door opened again. Professor Dumbledore, Professor Flitwick, and Professor McGonagall walked in.
"Dumbledore and Professor Flitwick have been addressed of this situation. Now please Miss Kellner for the sake of my sanity explain." Professor McGonagall cried. Grace glanced at her bag then back at the three adults. There was a gleam in Dumbledore's eyes as if he already knew what Grace was about to say.
"T-the journal I always carry around, if isn't a-a diary," Grace explained as she stumbled over her words. "It hold spells, spells I've created on my own. I've put years work into them and only a couple years ago did they start to work.
W-well a friend of mine addressed her concerns about there being two Hogwarts Champions. One of them being Harry Potter. I told her and Cedric about my spells. I had them make one."
Grace dug in her bag and pulled out the bronze journal. She mumbled the password and showed them the spell.
"Finis Extricate?" Professor Flitwick questioned.
"It's like The Unbreakable Vow, but it's also completely different." Grace went on to explain the purpose of the spell and how she made it with Aspen and Cedric.
"The band appeared around her wrist and I knew Cedric was killed. She brought him back. But please," Grace jumped to her feet. "Don't blame them for this! It was my idea! I convinced them to do it! If you're going to expel anyone let it be me." Dumbledore chuckled.
"Expel Miss Kellner? Why would I ever expel you for saving a students life? The magic is superb, you should feel highly accomplished of yourself. Of course cheating death is a mischievous thing that may have severe consequences, but this is well done Miss Kellner. You are the reason that another person has survived The Killing Curse. You are the reason Cedric Diggory is still alive. You will be one for the history books. You should feel very pleased with yourself." Grace smiled at Dumbledore, a feeling of satisfaction settled on her.
"I must agree," Professor Flitwick added. "This is astonishing magic Grace! You have a blue one as well?" Grace took out and unlocked the blue journal. She set it down for the adults to look at.
"Amazing." Professor McGonagall breathed as she flipped through pages
"Who all knows?" Dumbledore asked.
"Well, Reese, Aspen, Ashton, Cedric, the Weasley twins, and me of course."
"I suggest you tell your father as well. To keep you and your secret safe I suggest you keep it as that."
"Thank you, sir."
"Don't thank me. Only those few and us three will know how Cedric Diggory survived. Otherwise it will forever be a mystery."
"Does this mean I can go?"
"Yes Miss Kellner, you may go." Grace flashed a smile. She grabbed her journals and tucked them away bag in her bag. Grace left Professor Dumbledore's study feeling better than she did before.
