Grace set her wand down and stared at Desiree. The owl just ruffled her wings and stared at Grace. Grace raised an eyebrow.

"Are you going to speak?" Grace asked.

"You made the spell to talk to animals. Funny considering you use it once every century!" Desiree barked. Grace rolled her eyes.

"Desiree, would you like to help me with something?" She asked.

"No." Grace was shocked.

"No? Well why not?"

"Because I don't want to."

"Desiree! I'm your owner!"

"I'm your owner', good for you! Now if you'll excuse me I'd like to get back to my nap. You rudely woke me." Grace just stared at Desiree for a moment. "Oh! I think I hear someone coming. Do keep talking to me. They'll think you're insane!" Grace sighed and walked away from the owl.

When Grace entered the common room, she found Reese sitting on one of the couches. Grace walked over and sat next her. Reese didn't look up, she kept her eyes focused on the papers in front of her.

"What are you working on?" Grace asked.

"Umbridge's lousy and completely useless homework," Reese replied.

"Considering she wants to make you rip of your ears, you sure do well in her class," Grace noted. Reese shrugged.

"Could be because Defensive Against the Dark Arts has always been my best subject. Or it could be she doesn't hate me yet." Reese gave a smug slime as she looked up from her work. Grace glanced down at the scar on her hand then back at Reese.

"Well that was just rude." Reese chuckled and put the work away.

"Come on, we have a meeting to attend. Time for us to learn some Patronus charms," she stated. Grace smiled and the two left the common room.

"I've been waiting for this forever," Grace said as they walked down the stairs. Reese nodded.

"Ditto."

"You think you'll be able to do it?" Wyatt asked. Ashton look over at the boy and scoffed. The two boys walked down an empty corridor on their way to the D.A. meeting.

"Cast a Patronus charm? I know I can do it," Ashton gloated. Wyatt nodded.

"I bet your Patronus is going to be a little kitten."

"Rude!" Ashton cried as he laughed.

"I only speak the truth!" Wyatt claimed as he laughed.

"Then what is yours going to be?" Ashton asked. Wyatt thought about it as he ran his hand through his dirty blonde hair.

"Something unique, like my eyes," he stated.

"Well, you have grey eyes like Grace—"

"—which means Grace and I will have very unique Patronus'!" Wyatt finished. Ashton chuckled. The two boys stopped talking, but Wyatt's eyes didn't drift away from Ashton.

"What?" Ashton asked, a smirk on his face. Wyatt looked forward and shook his head.

"Nothing. Hey, Ash, look behind us and tell me, is there anyone coming?" Ashton turned around.

"No one, why?"

"Because of this."

The next thing Ashton knew, he was pinned against a wall, Wyatt's lips pressed to his. Almost immediately, Ashton wrapped his arms around Wyatt. Ashton had to admit, he's been wanting this for months. He's just never done it. The two were almost breathless when they broke apart. Both had large grins on their faces.

"How about that for a first kiss?" Wyatt teased. Ashton chuckled.

"I think I'm ready for the second," Ashton admitted. He kissed Wyatt again, but the second kiss only a few seconds long.

"Maybe in the future we could take that a few steps further," Wyatt teased. Ashton felt his face heat up as Wyatt began to walk away.

"Where you going?" Ashton asked.

"To the meeting we're supposed to be at." Ashton raised an eyebrow.

"We could always skip," Ashton said. Wyatt nodded.

"We could, but this meeting seems pretty enjoyable."

"Fair enough." Aston walked up and wrapped his arms around Wyatt's shoulders. The two didn't wipe the smiles off their faces as they made their way down the corridor.
