Chapter 5: Learning

Jin's POV

We all sat at the table. Adam looked pretty upset he didn't know how to use his powers yet. He wasn't use to not knowing something like that. He was always good at combat, so why couldn't he use his magic. I knew the others were using magic because I could feel the energy when they used it. But then I realised Nick didn't use any magic. All the energy had come from Ross.

"Nick didn't use his magic ability, water." I say out loud.

"Aww I didn't did I." I Nick said sadly.

"It's okay both of your powers are much similar in the way you control them so it would be much easier...Let's take it easy and head outside to work on your abilities." Red said and walked away.

We all stood up and followed. The scenery was nice outside. We all stood by the field. Where Cory had once stood was now just a giant dark spot. There was dry pieces of grass where Cory had stepped while Nick had helped him to walk. Some how he sucked the life out of the grass after he had fought Shelby. The worse part was it started to suck the energy out of Nick too.

Flashback
Nick was helping Cory walked. Every step Cory took the grass will turn brown and dead. Then turn black and wither away. After a while, Nick started to stumble too.

When Red noticed that he yelled, "Let go of him Nick."

Nick quickly let go and Cory fell immediately to the ground coughing up blood while he did. Nick sat beside him looking really pale, almost ghost like.
Red mumbled something and a guy with a weird accent appeared. He looked at us all. He chanted something and Nick started to get his color back. Cory was still on the ground and the dead grass spread further but Cory looked like he was getting better. The guy with the accent said another chantment and Cory stopped coughing blood and just passed out.
Flashback over

Red stood before us all. We all were lined up. It was me on the right, Adam next to me,then Cory,then Nick, then Ross, then Shelby.

"Okay guys.Adam, Nick all you have to do is think of your element let it flow through you. You must feel the current you must feel the waves." He pointed at Nick. "You need to feel the power and the power and the ease of the wind,let it flow through you. Now close your eyes and feel the power feel the element." Red said.

Nick and Adam listened. I looked and saw Ross,Shelby,and Cory with there eyes closed too.

"Now try your element." Red shouted.

Everyone opened there eyes, water flew around Nick. A mini tornado flew around Adam while a bunch of rocks flew around Ross in a circle. Cory quickly moved out from being between Adam and Nick trying to not get caught by their magic. Nick's, Ross', and Adam's necklace were glowing.

I looked in amazement at them. Shelby then grumbled," Why can't I get mine to work?" She asked. While Nick ran around chasing Ross splashing him with water. Ross tries flinging rocks at Nick but therw were swalloed by the water and spit back out at him.Adam started to push the wind in different dircetions.

"Guy's look at this.", Adam spun and a mini tornado happened. Cory looked at him annoyed but with a giant smirk.

"Don't be such an air head Adam." Cory said laughing.

"Ye Adam or I will have to pop you." Ross added in.

Then a gust of wind flew at Cory, Cory moved quickly and it hit Shelby making her fly backwards.

"Ooh thats got to hurt." Cory said turning around looking at Shelby.

She got up. And dusted herself off. "Hey what was that for?" Shelby said at a very high pitch.
