Chapter 23: Returning

Ross' POV

I woke up hearing loud noises. I got out of bed and walked out of my room. And walked downstairs and I saw Shelby, Alex, Adam, Uni, Cory, Nick, and Rex all together. Nick didn't look to good. He was paler and just gave off some weird vibes.
"What did I miss?" I asked while rubbing my eyes. Everyone just grunted or made some kind of weird noise.

"Is Nick okay!?" Jin ran downstairs almost tripping and falling down. The others looked at him curiously.

"Weird magic seeing glass orb on the 3rd floor." Jin said, as if it made sence. Cory had nodded as if he knew exactly what Jin was talking about. "So?" Jin said.

"Yeah, everything is all right, Nick just had a panic attack." Adam replied.

"I'm fine now." Nick said giving everyone a reassuring smile.

Everyone sat down and flopped on the couch. "So, what do you want to do today?" I said.

"Sleep." Nick replied and he lied down on the floor. Red ran downstairs and into the living room.

"The Nero kingdom needs help!" He yelled as he entered the room.
Nick sat up quickly. "I just want to take a nap! Is that to much to ask for?" He said whining.

"The Prodótis kingdom has fully attacked their kingdom, some of their troops are already headed to Kalá. We need to get their as soon as possible." Red said. Barney then came in.

"I haves word from Nero, theres troops are toos many. They can't defend for the to long on their own." Barney said.

"Oh, so does that mean I can have some of Ghetto's delicious peaches?" Nick said with a grin.

"No Nick, we are going there to help defend their ranks not to eat peaches." Rex said.

"Well, not just peaches, I'm pretty sure Ghetto has some marshmallows too, but he just refuses to share." Nick said whining.

"That's not the point Nick." Rex said. " We are going to help them not eat."

"We can always just eat our enemies." Nick said. When he realised what he said he laughed at himself.

"Cannibal."Red said.(Get the reference?)

"I didn't mean it like that!" Nick said laughing.

"Anyway, we need to get going." Red said.

"We? You are coming to?" I asked.

"Yes I'm coming, I could help order you guys around, now go to the armory and suit up, Adam, Uni, and Rex, you should be familiar with equipping the armor, so help the others. Meet back here when you are done." Red said then him and Barney walked away.

Adam helped me out before he even equipped his own armor. "It is easier to help before the extra weight." He told me. He helped me strap the back piece and leg plates. He also helped with my right arm plate. When I finished, he had already started to work on Jin's armor.Shelby was already done with aid from Uni. Rex was strapping Alex's leg plates while she messed with her arm plates. Uni tried hepling Cory, but what ever Uni said he was going to do, he did the  opposite. Making it take twice as long. Uni told Cory to put on the helmet. "No." Cory said.

"Find then, don't put it on!" Uni yelled in frustration. Cory then took the helmet from Uni's hands and put the helmet on.

"Oh my gosh Cory." Uni muttered. Cory then took his helmet off, "It doesn't feel right with the mask." He said then tossed the helmet back to Uni.

"Than take the stupid mask off!" Uni shouted. Everyone looked at Uni, who was giving Cory the death stare.

"Take the stupid mask off." Cory mimicked Uni's voice.

"Oh my gosh you are so frustrating." Uni exclaimed and walked away.

"At least he's alive." Rex mumbled to himself.

"Yea, well maybe he shouldn't!" Uni shouted and stormed off. He then walked back inside. "I forgot to put on my armor..." Uni said quietly. Everyone laughed at him.

Adam's POV

I was now helping Jin suit up when Cory and Uni had a minor argument. But one thing was touchy about it, Uni had said maybe Cory should have died. Yea the others brushed it off, but which time did he mean. When Shelby had stabbed him, or when that guy had kidnapped them in the woods. Which ever one it was I could tell it affected Cory more than he would lead on. I was still really worried about Nick. And disappointed in myself for being so careless. I should have watched them closer. Which that reminded me, Cory and Alex have spent enough time with the others for today. I would have to sector them in seperate areas from the others. Of course they can be sectored with Rex and Uni, so it should work out just fine. Once everyone was suited up, we went to the spot where Red wanted us to meet. He was already waiting for us.

"Okay, everyone will do the normal teleporting thing." Red said. Alex and Cory sighed. "What's wrong?" Shelby asked.

"I wanna fight, not pass out!" Both Alex and Cory said in unison.

"Well it's the fastest way, so you have to suck it up." Red said.

We got into position, Cory had his arm around Nick and Shelby, Nick had his arm around Uni, and Shelby was holding hands with Ross. I put my hand on Alex's shoulder and Barney grabbed my elbow. Rex was holding Alex's and Red's hand. Soon we all vanished. When light showed up again, we were in the middle of a war zone. I swallowed my throw up, teleporting has that effect on you, and scanned the area. Alex was passed out from teleporting so many people. Rex then carried her piggy back style and started to scan with me.

"There!" he pointed out. In the distance we could see 5 people, one was caring some one else. We began to head in their direction. Their were massive explosions that could make some one go deaf.. The loud bangs echoed through the the mountains.
