Chapter 8: Help

Nick's POV

" I brought you all down here because we need to talk." Red started to say. "It is time for your mission. You must go into the Dark Forest at once or soon their will be no time left."

"Finally this is what I have been training for!" Adam said jumping up.

"You will not be going." Red said looking at Adam.

"What!!" Adam whined. "With all due respect sir but I have more training then all of these nerds combined." Adam said.

"Which is why I need you to help the Nero Kingdom and lead their army." Red continued.

"Oh... I can do that." Adam said with a grin on his face and sat back down.

"Jin will be in charge of the rest of you and will lead you into the forest. Remember what I said, the necklaces will glow brighter the closer you get. All you have to do is think of the person's power you are going to." Red said and Jin nodded at him.

"Nows lets us begins the teleportation." Barney said. He then grabbed Adam's shoulder, said something like, "Chikilar." And Adam and Barney were gone.

"Wow that was cool." I yelled. "Can we do that?" I asked.

"Sort of. "Red said. "Death has similar powers to darkness and, death can do something called shadow jumping instead. Usually though, after the person will pass out." Red said.

"That doesn't sound to fun." Cory said." I can barely even... Wait what can I do? I can barely use my powers period and you want me to teleport!"

"That is a problem." Red said." Well it is time you learn."

"Everyone put a hand on Cory." Red said.
Cory jumped "Hands off!" And he started to back away.

"Grab that bag. And open the pouch pull out the small box." Red said. I opened a back pack on the table. And pulled out a box and tossed it to Red.

"Okay lets see. If you push this button on the box, it will open into a tent, it's one of Barney's enchantments. Me and Barney have already packed the 5 of you packs containing food these boxes, sleeping bags, medical kits, and other nonsense. The bags are in your rooms on your bed. When you are ready come back down here. While I teach Cory his ability, Nick grab his bag for him." Red said.

Everyone went upstairs while Cory and Red stayed behind. I went to my room and saw the pack. I looked inside and saw some food. I took it out and replaced it with mushroom stew. "Wait does anyone have a pot. Probably." I thought. I put some extra clothes and dropped some potions in my bag. I then went to Cory's room. I looked in his pack. "Hmm if I was Cory what would I bring." I said out loud. "Oh a knife." I snapped my fingers. I looked under his pillow and took the knife out and strapped it to his bag. I then saw his note on his desk. I grabbed it and put it in his bag too. I then went into the closet and grabbed some clothes. I then brought out a can of mushroom stew from my pack and put it in his bag. "Just in case." I said with a smile. I then picked his bag up too and brought it down stairs with me.

Shelby was already down stairs. Ross soon came down too.

"Okay everyone hold Cory." We did then Red turned off the lights. "Now do it Cory!" Red yelled.

When I opened my eyes we were at the edge of a forest. There was open land behind us, but in front of us was the dark gloomy woods.

Adam's POV

I was in the middle of Kaos. People were running around everywhere they were all so unorganized. I asked someone where the armory was almost immediately. The person showed me where it was. I went straight to suiting up. I put some armor on and got a sword out. Some one then walked up to me. "You are here to help with the army right, your name is Adam right?"

"Yes that is me." I said.

"Great I'm Mitch, I am one of the best warriors. You have the element wind, correct?" Mitch asked.

"Yes I'm wind guardian of Kalá." I responded.

"Well I'm Fire guardian of Nero." He said with a big grin then high fived me. "Sweat buddy this is gonna be mega awesome. I'll show you around then." Mitch said.

"Wait. Let me see your necklace." I said.

Mitch pulled out an orange necklace from under his armor. "See."

I nodded then pulled out my grey necklace to show him. "Okay lets go now we have no time to waist." He grabbed a sword and ran. I followed. He yelled," Division line up!" No one listened. He yelled again but no one came. "What is your highest watch tower?" I asked. Mitch pointed with his sword that looked about 8 meters away. Me and Mitch went there I looked and I could see the people scrambling around underneath us. I used my magic to cause a huge gust of wind strong enough to pick up rocks and boulders, people started to notice and look up at the tower where the rocks were circling. Mitch then yelled." Everyone listen up. Calm down! And stay still."

"Get into line up!" I yelled. People started to line up. After a couple of minutes everyone was lined up. And had stopped talking. "I know you all are panicked, put you all need to stay calm, you are not going to get anything done and thousands will die if you don't stay in order! I yelled. "Now division one, raise your swords!" They did," You will take the east side of the forest, all of you will be in the trees with bows. Division 2, you will be a couple of miles behind division one but on ground with swords. Division 3 take west and be in the trees. Division 4 behind 3 on ground with sword. Division 5, behind 1 and 2 with shields and swords you are our last resort. Division 6 behind 3 and 4 with shields. I want division 7 and 8 to keep patrol if you see any dark entities kill them as a group. If you see over 4 at once call for more help to what ever is closer to you. 1,2, and 3 you will be known as east. 4,5, and 6 are now called west, because that is your assigned areas. Now move out!" I yelled. Everyone one moved immediately and left.

"Wow that was great!" Mitch said. Well let's get going we have a meeting to attend to, we need you to meet the other guardians and sign them to divisions too."

It felt nice to be needed. This is where I belong I thought to my self. In the battle, leading us to victory. I followed Mitch down the tower and we went inside the guild. There were 2 other people sitting down looking exhausted.

"This is Jerome he pointed at a guy wearing a tie. He is our beast, and by that I mean he can shape shift. This is Deadlox,his real name is Ty or Tyler, he is our psychic, which means he can mind control or levitate stuff."

"Hi." I said "You all look pretty beat."

"We are, I haven't slept in 3 days. I've been trying to use my magic to calm everyone down but it hasn't been working." Deadlox said.

"Well lucky for you, you don't have to, our friend Adam here got everyone into order." He said with a smile.

"You did!?" Jerome and Deadlox said in unison and ran out the door. They looked and saw people heading into the forest it was way more quite. "Finally I can get some sleep." Jerome said then turned into a cat and laid on the ground.

Jerome's nap was short lived because some one slammed the door open. Causing Jerome in cat form to jump into the air with a loud hiss.

"Where are my peaches!" The intruder yelled looking at everyone.

"This is ghetto." Mitch said. "He really likes peaches he also happens to have posion magic. Ghetto this is Adam our temp.  Leader, he came from the Kalá kingdom."

"Nice to meet you." Ghetto said. "Stay away from my peaches."

I examined Ghetto, he was wearing a mask with green eyes. And was wearing a green crystal necklace.

"It's nice to be here." I said with a giant grin.
