Chapter 6: Taking it Easy

Ross' POV

Me and Nick became better friends. He was mad at me for a bit when I didn't let him see what happened to Nick and Cory but I figured it would be best if we both didn't.

Nick was now sitting on the couch messing with some metal pieces. Cory came in and saw us. He sat down on the floor on next to the couch Nick was on and sighed loud.

I noticed his broken arm was wrapped up. I looked at his face and saw he was still wearing the blind fold and mask.

"Umm Cory your blind fold is still on." I said. Cory went behind the couch and came out to wearing only his Mask. The blind fold was wrapped around his broken arm.

"When is it gonna be better?"I asked.

"Probably in about 3 days. I was given two health Potions. Hopefully it heals straight." Cory replied to me sitting back on the ground next to the couch Nick was on.

Red came in." Where are the others?" he demanded.

"Shelby is in her room. I don't know we're Adam and Jin are." I replied.

"If you see them tell them to come here immediately." Red responded.

"Okay." I said.

"What happened?" Cory asked.

"I want to tell all of you about the reason you became guardians or at least what you are going to do next." Red said.

"Why can't we fight?" Nick asked.

"Adam and Cory still need to recover fully. Cory is still weak from the battle with Shelby it was foolish of me to let him participate. I will not make that mistake again." Red said that with a stern look then walked away.

Cory then stood up, gave a nod to Nick who got up too. They started heading for the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"To look for Jin and Adam." Nick responded.

"You should stay here Cory I will go with Nick." I said. Cory didn't have the energy to argue so he sat back down. I walked out the room with Nick by my side. We first checked up stairs. I walked in Jin's room, he wasn't there. I went to Adam's room. He was laying flat on his back.

"What up weenie butt?" Adam asked.

"Umm... Red would like to meet us all at the living room. Cory is there right now." I said. Adam nodded then got out of his bed and walked away.

"That was awkward." Nick said. We went to Shelby's room and she was writing.

"Hi." Nick said.

"Hello." Shelby responded.

"Red wants to see us in the living room downstairs. Cory is there right. Now, and we just sent over Adam. Do you know where Jin is?" I asked.

"Probably the library. He was in their last night." Shelby said then walked out her room.

We walked to the middle of the hall then went up the stairs some more. Sure enough there was a giant library. Jin was too absorbed in a book to notice us some in. Nick walked over to Jin, who didn't even glance up from his book.

"Whatcha reading?" Nick said very loudly. Jin jumped in the air and slammed his book shut.

"Oh it's only you two." He said with a sigh of relief.

"What do you need?" Jin asked.

"We need you to follow us down stairs." Nick said.

"Okay then." Jin said and we all walked down stairs, Nick was in the lead and he took us back into the living room where Cory was laying on the couch but quickly moved to be sitting normally. Adam was laying down on the other couch on his back taking up the hole thing. And Shelby was behind the couch Cory was on with her arms on it and was looking down at Cory then would look at Adam every now and then.
