Guard's POV
I looked and walked down the familiar corridor. The light shining in on the castles wall, making the room look vibrant and filled with warmth.
I smiled to myself and walked on as I passed by a room. A room filled with books and stories, where I knew a certain person was studying on his magic like usual.
I passed by it with a sigh of joy and continued to walk down many stairs. I listened to the sound of every step I took, some guards passed by me, and saluted as I nodded to them.
I passed by the thrown, vibrant as ever as the king sat there with his beloved daughter by his side. They waved at me and smiled. I smiled back and walked outside the great gate as I've done so many times. But, this time was different I felt joy, relief, and happier then usual.
I saw a girl sitting on stair steps near the garden with her cousin. Her brownish red hair shining in the sun, as her cousin held a chicken that was dear to him.
She waved at me with a big cheeky smile and I nodded at her waving back as I continued down the steps.
I walked through a field where I found another red headed girl with a smiling boy. They were laughing as the girl swung a sword at the air and the boy made jokes. The boy looked at me, and pointed at me. The girl stopped and looked at me. The boy wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulder and they waved at me, the boy grinning. A child popped up behind them, he was smiling with bright blue hair, munching on a cookie with a grin, as he ate the food we came to know he loved.
I smiled back at them and continued walking, going further away from the castle's grounds. I continued forward noticing the appearance of more and more golden flowers. Soon the scattered flowers turned into clumps as I got further away from the castle.
I heard faint talking and laughter and soon I saw four people laying together in a bed of bright golden flowers, glimmering in the sun.
One boy had a hat on his chest as he laid down admiring the sky, his hands underneath his head.
The boy next to him had dark blue hair, black at the sides.
He was holding hands with the blonde that laid next to him, his eyes closed, but a faint smile planted on his face.
The boy next to the blonde one, had dark brown hair. He had goggles over his head and had a smirk on his face as well. They all looked so peaceful looking at the sky, as if it was some childhood memory.
"Will you guys be there on time?" I spoke to the four boys laid out before me.
Three turned there heads and nodded, while one continued to sleep.
I nodded to them and continued to walk. As I got further, I heard them from afar shuffling, probably trying to wake the sleeping one.I walked deeper into the forest until I came across a river, or a moat. I heard shuffling then a dragon I can now call a friend greeted me and bowed it's head down to carry me across the small river. I climbed on it. And it easily glided over the body of water. It set me down where a girl stood with bright purple eyes and brown curly hair. She smiled at me.
"I'm going to wait for the others, you can go if you want." I told the girl with a gentle smile. She nodded and climbed on the dragon flying away, leaving me alone on this small little island.
I turned around and looked at what I had the girl watch over. It was a great big oak tree. A tree I now have signed the dragon to protect if any one wish to bring it harm.
I approached it slowly and rested my hand against it. Gently grazing my hand against the wood as I walked in a circle around the tree.
I slowly sat down, leaning against the tree and waited. I waited for quite a long time, but I didn't mind. I enjoyed hearing the water of the river, the rare splash of a fish jumping out of the water.
I enjoyed listening to the peaceful chirping of birds and the nice gentle breeze of the wind. Most of all I loved the rays of the sun shining on my face making me feel warm and cozy.I heard faint talking as people approached where I sat. I slowly opened my eyes to see many faces looking back at me. A boy with brown hair standing next to the brownish red haired girl. The boy stepped forward and lifted his hand and stones moved from under the water creating a path to the island with the tree and I.
Each one of the people crossed the path the first had made.
They all stood side by side, looking at the tree and I, as I stood up to greet them."It's time to go back." I said to the others, finally facing them.
"Only until we are ready to find him, right?" The boy wearing a hat said, urgency in his voice.
I nodded, but another spoke."We will find him, don't worry." The boy with dark brown hair and goggles said, squeezing the hatted one's arm.
"And we will make him pay!" The red headed girl shouted, a fire in her turquoise eyes. The boy next to her shook his head, he had a cheeky smile on his face, but doubt in his eyes.
"Yeah uh huh." He mumbled but the others didn't hear."I-I don't want to get hurt again." The light blue haired kid said staring up at the others.
"We won't let that happen, not again." A black haired person said, one of my closest friends.
"We can't hurt him." A brownish red haired girl spoke which got the blonde mad.
"After what he did! He doesn't deserve-" the blonde's rant was cut short as the blue and black haired kid squeezed his shoulder.
The blue and black haired kid, gave him a worried looked and the blonde relaxed with a sigh.
"Don't eat your self up about it, okay?" The blue and black haired kid said looking at the blonde and he nodded.I looked at them and sighed.
"It's time to go back."
I turned around to face the tree.
"In the land of Kalá."
I said and the tree began to glow.
I stepped into the light, the others close behind.~Author's Note~
