Guardians 1: Ashes

Chapter 15: Home

Ross' POV

I was sitting with Adam and Jin, we were talking about how we would get back home. Jin brought up taking the other guardians with us, so they could continue their training. Adam disagreed saying they need help here,taking away their only guardians would not be a bright idea. I was adding in stuff here and there. "We can have Cory shadow jump." I said.

"I don't know, there might be to many people." Adam said. Alex then said something. She made me jump, "I totally forgot you were here." I said out loud very rushed.

She looked at me and smiled then began to talk." I can teleport half, that is one of my abilities, and Cory can shadow jump the rest." She said.

"That would work." Jin said.

Just as if on que, Cory shows up with Nick barging into the room. "Adam, we need to talk to you." Cory said. Adam then excused himself from the table and walked outside with Nick and Cory.

We could hear whispering coming from the other side of the door, but we didn't know exactly what they were saying. It was just all muffled. Shelby has her suspicions of Nick and Cory, but I doubted she was right. Then Adam came back.

Change of plans he said, "We are adding two more people with us." He said with a giant grin.

"That is 9 people. I guess minus two because they will be the ones teleporting or shadow jumping. That is 7 so, one teleports 4, the other shadow jumps 3? Jin asked.

"Yea that would work. Ross, find Shelby and head to the infirmary with her. Alex head their right now, Jin come with me to tell the Guardians of Nero about us leaving. Nick and Cory will already be at the infirmary, just follow them, they will take you to the right room once you get there. Everyone move out!" Adam commanded.

We all went off. I went and found Shelby, it took a lot of asking,but I eventually found her staring at the edge of the dark forest.

"Hey." I said sitting down next to her.

"Hi." She replied.

"Whatcha looking at?" I asked.

"Nothing, I'm thinking." She responded.

"Well, Adam wants us all to meet at the infirmary. We are gonna leave." I told her.

"Why are we meeting at the infirmary?" Shelby asked.

"I dunno." I answered.

"What if it's about those people in the room?!" Shelby exclaimed then got up quickly and ran off.

I sighed, then got up slowly and followed her.

Shelby's POV

When me and Ross got there, Nick and Cory were at the entrance of the infirmary talking to Alex. They were laughing and smiling. I quickly ran over to them, " Where is Adam and Jin?" I asked.

"Not here yet." Nick replied.

"Probably still announcing to the others that we are going to leave soon." Alex added in.

"Can we go inside?" I asked then I approached the door.

"Nope." Cory said, "Not until the others arrive."

I started to grow impatient. Nick, Cory, and Alex were now sitting on the ground leaning against the building talking. I tried to listen, but my mind would not focus. Ross was standing awkwardly next to me. Then, finally after what it had seemed to be years, Jin and Adam were coming. I could see them walking. I jumped up and said, "Finally!"

"Gosh Shelby. I didn't know you wanted to leave so badly." Cory said.

"It's not that I want to leave." I said. "I just want to find out what's wrong with you."

"What the... I'm not mest up in the head you know?" Cory responded.

"Sure." I said giggling. Cory then started to grumble some words and Nick laughed at him. Alex patted his back laughing.

Adam and Jin finally made it to us.

"Okay, now that I have told everyone, let's head in." Adam said with a giant grin and walked in. Behind him was Jin, then Cory, then Nick, then Alex, then me, then Ross.

Adam then approached another door, guarded by guards. He nodded at them and said, " We are leaving." The guards nodded back and opened the door.

We all went inside. There was a guy with blue hair and an eye patch sitting next to some one laying in a bed.

"Hello." Said the blue haired person.

"Hi." Jin, me, and Alex replied.

"This is Uni." Adam said pointing to the guy with blue hair. " The other one is Adam, but I'm Adam so I've just been calling him ARG."

"I told ya, just call me Rex." Adam 2 said.

"Okay, Rex." Adam said in weird way testing it out. "Anyways. They will be coming with us." Adam said. " So, Cory will be shadow jumping Nick, Uni, Rex, and Shelby. Alex will be teleporting me, Jin, and Ross. So Nick Uni help Rex out of bed." Uni and Nick listened and helped him out. Rex was standing on one leg, while Uni and Nick were on each side of him.

Cory then walked up to them and put his arm around Nick smiling. I didn't really want to hold onto Uni, sence I just met him, so I went next to Cory and grabbed his hand. He looked at me awkwardly at first then said.
"Okay lets do it guys!" He said cheerfully.

Adam, Jin, Ross, and Alex then held hands. Soon they vanished, leaving behind a purple dust,then Uni hit the light switch turning the room dark. When it was bright again,we were all in the middle of the living room where we had started out.
