Chapter 7: Time

Shelby's POV

Shelby woke up from a nightmare. She was sweaty all over and was panicked. She could only recall small pieces. Like a person standing in the Forest. All she could make out was their eyes, one was brown, and the other was purple. Then it want all fuzzy. She could see darkness run by. She could see only glimpses of Ross who went flying backwards. Then a flash of bright light happened and she went flying backwards too. And then that was when she woke up.

"Did I die in the dream?" Shelby thought outloud. " the only way to usually wake up from nightmares is dying isn't it."

Ross came in. "Shelby." He yawned. "It's time to get up."

"Okay thanks Ross." I relpied.

Ross left. Soon I went downstairs to see Jin and Ross sitting down. It was waffles. I sat in my usual seat. But noticed Nick, Cory, and Adam were missing.

"Where are the others?" I asked Jin.

"Outside. They already ate and went straight outside after they finished. I'm kinda curious of what they are planning but I'm hungry too so my stomach one the battle." Jin said with a grin then stuffed his mouth with more waffles.

I grabbed my plate and went outside. Nick and Cory were sitting down back to back counting. Adam was doing pushing ups.
"What are you three doing?" I asked politely.

"Adam is slave driving me for stabbing him." Cory muttered.

"I'm here to enjoy the show." Nick said with a big grin.

I sat down in front of Nick. I looked over and Adam was now doing sit ups.
"Yay morning practice." Cory said in a sarcastic voice." When do I get to fight!?" Cory stood up causing Nick to fall backwards.

"Coryyy!" Nick said.

"Sorry." Cory relpied.

Adam went to the shed then threw a sword at Cory's feet. "Here ya go." Adam said then lifted up his sword.

"Finally some action." Cory said with a grin.

"Aww you two are bonding." I said cheerfully.

"Go away Shelby." Cory said. Eventually I finished my waffles and did go inside leaving the three to practice.

Red's POV

It was mid day now and the threat was getting worse. The Nero kingdom have been sending distress signals for weeks. I looked at the crystal globe Barney had made. I could check on everyone at anytime using it. As I looked at my students I thought,
" There just isn't enough time." Jin was reading a book, Shelby was playing a board game with Ross and Nick, Cory was upstairs in his room his Mask was off but I still couldn't even see his face, it was almost a force pushing the crystal ball no to reveal his identity. And Adam he was outside swinging his sword at the practice dummies. Every once in a while Adam would blow a huge gust of wind at the dummies.

They need more bounding exercises. They still are not a team, but their just isn't enough time. Shelby, Nick, and Ross seem to be fine with the others. It's Cory and Adam who aren't and Jin, he is just very quite but I can see a leader.

I grabbed my head grunting, " What do I do, what do I do! There just isn't enough time."

"Isn't enough time for what?" I hear some one say.

"To train them."I muttered. When I turned around I jumped. "Cory what are you doing here!?" I yelled at him.

"Well funny story heh... I went on the roof because I was hearing noises coming from this room so I went to look and here you are." He gave me a smile." So why isn't there enough time to train us?"

"Because you all don't know how to work like a team yet." I said rubbing my temples.

"Yea but why isn't there enough time?" Cory said while crossing his arms.

"You may not know this but the Prodótis kingdom is a huge threat and the Nero kingdom have been getting loads of dark entities attacking. They don't have enough guardians so they have been sending distress signals but none of you are battle ready except for Jin and Adam!" I said yelling getting all my frustration out.

" Wow calm down. Why don't you send Adam there, he can lead the armies he should have no problem seeing his past duties, the rest of us can go into the forest as soon as possible to find this mystery person." Cory suggested.

" That is a... a surprisingly good idea." I said. "Wait who will help the 5 of you I was counting on Ad-" Cory interrupted me and said.

"Jin can easily lead, and he seems to be knowledgeable seeing he always has his nose in a book." Cory said with a smile.

"Sadly you are right... I guess I don't really have another choice." I said. "Don't speak to the others about our discussion just go to your room and carry on." I said very stern.

"Yeesh. Keeping secrets not a good way to go Red." Cory said.

"What do you know, you have ignored every question about your mask." I snapped at Cory. He left quickly after my last comment. I then got up and closed the window. "I can't believe I'm listening to my student." I muttered.

After two days I believed I had full proofed the plan, I already sent a notice to prepare for Adam's arrival. Barney and I were going over the plan. He nodded in agreement. "Okays lets begins." Barney said and we teleported down stairs. I had previously asked Ross to gather everyone for me and he did. Me and Barney appeared in the middle of the living room.

"Hi guys." I said with a smile. Then spoke.
