CHAPTER 10

I checked the time, im late but I don't care. It doesn't matter because I don't like parties. Pinark ko yung kotse at bumaba pero hindi agad ako pumasok sa loob ng venue. I texted Papa to let him know that im here outside and asked what's going on inside the party.

From: Father

Kanina pa nagsimula, where are you?

Pumasok ako sa entrance pero humarang agad yung bantay ng venue. "Invitation?" he asked.

Mabilis kong inabot sa kanya ang invitation ko at saka pumasok sa loob. I stood at the corner where no one could notice me. I called the food servant and asked him to give the car keys to father. He immediately looked around when he received the keys and when he found me, he was about to go to my direction but someone talked to him and I saw him nodded. He nodded at me too then turned around. Lumapit siya kay Pamela at naglahad ng kamay.

I smiled while watching them. Pamela in dress is beautiful. No doubt. But she's always beautiful even in baggy clothes. I chuckled at her reaction when Papa showed her the keys of her car. I swear I saw the sparks in her eyes as she stared at it, then a huge smile crept on her lips and hugged her father.

The dance continued with different guys. Pinanood ko lang siyang makipagsayaw at napailing ako. I don't see myself there. Fvck no, I would never dance while others watching me kahit sino pang kasayaw ko.

I leaned on the wall and contentedly watched the whole thing. I smiled when I saw her blanked expression. She's obviously not enjoying her own party. We're really matched. I grinned.

"Thanks son" lumapit si Papa sakin at tinapik ng balikat ko.

"No problem Papa. Pambawi sa hindi ko pagescort kay Pam" I smirked.

Father laughed and shook his head. Pinakilala niya din ako sa event organizer ng party. Hindi naman nagtagal ang pag-uusap namin dahil kinausap na si Papa ng bisita nila. I was left alone again but it didn't last a minute.

"I thought you'll change your mind about parties because of Pam" sabi ni Yanna habang may hawak na champagne.

I shook my head. "It would never change no matter what" I smirked.

"Whatever, pero bakit ka nandito? Kanina pa kita nakitang nakatayo dito. Busog ka na ba sa panonood kay Pam?" she raised her eyebrow and smirked.

I just shrugged. Hindi ko na pinansin si Yanna at pinanood na lang si Pam. I chuckled when I saw her frowning. Hindi man lang tinitingnan ang kasayaw.

"Just so you know, Pam doesn't like parties too" biglang sabi ni Yanna sa gilid ko.

My lips quirked up from side by side but it immediately vanished when my eyes caught a familiar girl again. What the hell? Hanggang dito ba naman?

My brows furrowed as I stared at her. She was smiling but it wavered when our eyes met and I could sensed that she's nervous. My lips pursed into a thin line and shook my head.

"Who was that?" tanong ni Yanna.

I looked at her and I saw her eyeing the girl. The girl on the other hand cannot look to our direction.

"She's not part of the eighteen candles so I guess Pam doesn't know her. Baka anak ng isa sa workers nila" she added then shifted her gaze on the dancefloor.

Naupo kami ni Yanna pero hindi ako kumain kahit niyaya niya ko. Kumain na kasi ako bago umalis. I really don't have any plan on entering this venue in the first place. Balak ko talaga na maghintay lang sa labas to give her the cake I baked at ipagdrive siya the way she wanted it. Real fast.

I stood up to get some drinks and I felt someone's following me. I saw her in my peripheral vision and sighed and shook my head. Ayokong magbintang. Malay ko ba kung coincidence lang ngayon so I didn't say anything or even look at her.

"Ashley! Tara na. Nakakahalata na sila. Kinakabahan ako, bakit ba kasi pumayag akong sumama sa paggegate crash mo!"

The girl gasped at mabilis akong tumingin sa direksyon nila. I saw the girl's face paled and she immediately dragged her friend's arm and quickly stormed out of the place. Sinundan ko sila at hinila ko ang braso ng babae para pigilan. She yelped in surprised but I didn't care. Hinigpitan ko ang kapit sa braso niya.

"Sino ka?" tanong ng kasama niya.

I stared coldly at her. "Gatecrashers" I muttered. "Anong pinaplano niyo?" I asked.
She gasped "Paano mo nalaman?"

"Narinig ka niya! Ang ingay mo kasi!"

"Answer my questions or i'll call the guards now" I said.

"Wag please! Sinamahan ko lang si Ashley. Gusto daw kasi niyang kausapin yung babaeng palaging kasama ng crush niya"

"Savannah!"

Mas humigpit ang kapit ko sa braso niya kaya napangiwi siya. She's getting on my nerves. "At anong gusto mong sabihin sa kanya?" I asked.

"Mister, this is none of your business. Binabakuran lang ni Ashley kung anong sa kanya" sabi ng kasama nito.

I tilted my head "And who's hers?"

"Si Trystan Cone Perkins" mabilis naman na sagot nito.

"I-i could explain.." sabi nung Ashley at mukhang paiyak na.

My eyes narrowed as I glared at her "Since when did you own me?" I asked coldly and I heard another gasped from her friend.

"You mean.. Ikaw? Ikaw si Trystan? Oh my! Ashley! Sorry!"

Umiling yung Ashley at hindi makatingin ng diretso sakin. I harshly removed my hand on her arm and stared at her angrily.

"Don't you dare go near her" sabi ko saka sila iniwan at pumasok ulit ako sa loob ng venue.

I took a deep breath. That girl is really crazy. Bumalik ako sa pinagtayuan ko kanina imbis na makiupo sa table nila Yanna. I folded my arms acrossed my chest. Umalis na yung lalaking kasayaw ni Pam but I suddenly frowned when I saw LWB stood up and went to her.

"And finally, the 18th roses.." the emcee announced.

But then I grinned. That LWB is my replacement huh?

I stood straight and stepped forward. LWB's currently giving the pink stemmed rose to Pam. I strode towards their direction and grinned widely as I grabbed Pam's hand who was about to reach for the rose and dragged her away from the center, away from LWB.

Eventhough, I declined Father's offer as her escort for this event, im still her escort and I won't let anyone replace me. Not now tho.

Lumapit ako kay Papa habang hawak ko ang kamah ni Pamela. "Papa, im sorry im late. At sorry din pero kailangan kong hiramin ulit si Pam" I said and stormed outside with the debutant.
