CHAPTER 14

"Tumawag sakin si Mrs. Gomez anak, they want you to represent your school for the quizbee competition this coming friday. She's impressed on the result of your exam." sabi ni Mom pagkauwi ko.

And because of my good mood, I agreed which made my Mom raised her eyebrows in surprised.

"Im expecting you'll refuse. What happened? You looked happy" sabi niya.

I smiled at her but I shook my head. I don't want to share it yet.
"Okay. But are you sure? Sigurado ka ba talagang payag ka? Hindi ko gets kung bakit may quizbee competition sa college but whatever, again, sure ka?" tanong niya.

I chuckled. Mom's always like this, minsan naiisip ko kung paano kaya siya natotolerate ni Dad. She's hard to handle sometimes.

"Yes, Mom. One day lang naman yun right?" I asked then smirked.

"Sigurado ka? Ganyan ba ang epekto ng first kiss?" tanong ni Raven pagkarating namin sa condo.

"Syempre may kapalit yun. I'll win the game and i'll get my prize" sabi ko.

"What prize? Yung cash prize? Sayo naman talaga mapupunta yun" sabi nito.

I shook my head "I'll match our schedule to Pamela and Yanna" I grinned.

Napangiti bigla si Raven sa sinabi ko at inakbayan ako "Gusto ko yan! Don't worry i'll support you all the way in the competition" sabi nito.

You want to tame Raven, drag Yanna's name, it's a sure win.

I shook my head and went to my room.

"Mr. Perkins, im glad you accepted our offer, don't worry dahil bibigyan ka naman namin ng reviewer. This is a regional competition, only top 10 universities lang ang maglalaban kaya hindi naman magtatagal ang competition at isang araw lang. If you make it at least on top 3, I promise you na sayo mapupunta 100% ng cash prize. We really want to win for our school's pride." sabi ni Mrs. Gomez.

I shook my head and smiled at her "Im not interested in cash prize but I have a favor" I said carefully.

Kumunot ang noo niya bigla but then she smiled again as she asked what favor do I have.

"Pumayag ba?" tanong agad ni Raven pagkalabas ko ng office.

I smirked and shrugged my shoulders "Ako pa?"

Tinapik ni Raven ang balikat ko habang ngiting ngiti "You're the best bro!" sabi nito.

Tiningnan ko siya saka umiling. "Walang libre sa mundo. May kapalit yun"

He frowned "What?"

I grinned then started walking. Sumunod siya sakin at hindi tumigil sa pagtatanong. Tumigil ako sa tapat ng kotse ko at binuksan yung backseat saka kinuha yung paperbag.

"Bakit hindi ko napansin yan? Kelan pa yan nandyan?" tanong ni Raven.

Umiling ako at binigay sa kanya yung paperbag. "You're going to be my wingman" sabi ko saka nilock yung kotse at naglakad na ulit sa hallway.

"What do you mean?" he asked confused.

Tumingin ako sa relo ko, matatapos na yung lunchbreak. Tumigil ako sa paglalakad at hinarap si Raven saka tinuro yung paperbag "Ipabigay mo sa  yung mga laman niyan one day at a time, make sure kay Pamela maabot at hindi niya malalaman na sakin galing yan. Let's just say, I'll be her secret admirer and you'll be mask" I grinned.

"Mas torpe ka pa pala sakin" umiiling na sabi nito.

"Gawin mo na lang. Don't worry, tutulungan kita kay Yanna kapag nakapagdesisyon ka na sa buhay mo" sabi ko.
