Nine years later..

“I miss you,” I said as soon as I saw her stepped out of her office with a familiar guy.

Walang sabi-sabing hinalikan ko siya sa labi, which I think quite shocked everyone for I heard some gasped including Christian Javier, the man beside her.

Pamela threw me a warning look, but I just smirked at her in return. Then, I diverted my gaze to her ‘client’ and my lips just stretched more upon seeing his reaction.

“Nice to see you again, Mr. Javier," I greeted him casually.

“Magkakilala kayo?” Pam raised her eyebrows.

Quickly, I nodded and casually held her hand, “He happened to be the Governor's son I visited yesterday, babe,” I replied, intentionally adding the endearment even though I knew Pam wouldn't like it.

Mabuti na lang, she's in a good mood today. And I have a feeling its because Raven have finally payed her on their deal. Kung hindi, baka naging battered fiancé na naman ako.

“Same here, Mr. Perkins,” Christian responded after clearing his throat.

I looked at him boastfully. I wanted to ask where is his confidence now? Ang yabang niya pa kasi kahapon, just because he didn't know Pamela's already engaged and I am her man. Tsk.

Mabilis kong kinapa ang singsing sa daliri ni Pam and I grinned more upon confirming that she's wearing it.

For eight years, we always argue over that ring because there were so many times she didn't feel like wearing it. Fortunately, our nine years together as a couple tought her how to compromise.

“I'm hungry. Let's go?” I asked, softly at my fiancée.

Pamela rolled her eyes, “Maghintay ka,” she muttered then turned to Christian and beamed at him, “Thank you for trusting us, Mr. Javier. See you again..” she said as she offered a handshake.

“I'm looking forward to work with you. But can you just please call me Christian? I feel so old when someone called me Sir or Mr. Javier. I'm not my father," he chuckled.

I inwardly mocked him, because it was too obvious that he's trying to flirt with my fiancée. Was he not listening yesterday? I personally visit his father to help me do a favor for my soon-to-be wife and Gov. didn't fail to mention it. Or maybe, he's the type who doesn't really care and too confident to think that he can stole Pamela from me, huh.

As if he has a chance.

I followed him through my gaze when he finally left until the elevator closed. I shook my head and faced Pamela with a scowl.

“Ano na naman?” she hissed upon seeing my face.

“Why did you accept it?”

“Because its work,” she replied, nonchalantly.

For almost a decade of our relationship, nothing really much has changed. She's still not sweet but she handles our relationship very well.

My lips protruded as I pulled her to me and crashed her against my chest, “Magpakasal na kasi tayo..” I muttered.

She tried to push me away but to no avail, kaya tumingala na lang siya para samaan ako ng tingin, “Nagseselos ka lang, gusto mo na agad magpakasal?” she scoffed.

I equaled her sharp stares and huffed, “Mabuti at alam mo na nagseselos ako. But that's not the only reason why I want us to get married and you know it”

“Alam mo na din dapat ang sagot ko”

“I have been asking you that for eight years!” I whined as I finally let her go.
