CHAPTER 46

"Kumusta ang date niyo ni Ashley?" bungad ni Raven pagkapasok ko sa condo.

"It's not a date" I said tiredly.

"But for her it's a date" Raven retorted "I know you're so smart pero hindi ko akalin na mahina ka pala pagdating sa lovelife bro. Buti na lang hindi ako kasing talino mo" he added.

"And you're proud of it huh?" I winced and shook my head.

"Of course! Balance lang naman kasi ang kailangan. Look at me, malapit ko ng mapasagot si Yanna" he said proudly.

Napailing na lang ulit ako. I doubt it. My cousin has a very high pride. Hindi agad aamin yun kahit na inlove na talaga siya kay Raven. Im sure she makes him suffer first.

"So, ano ngang nangyari? By the looks of you, mukhang hindi maganda. Magkwento ka naman bro!"

"For a guy, you sure are very nosy. Are you really sure you're straight?" I asked mockingly.

Binato niya ko ng throw pillow which I catched quickly. Thanks to my fast reflexes.

"Fvck you! Kasing straight ako ng flagpole!" he hissed.

I laughed at him. He looked so pissed. May be I hit the nerve. Hindi naman sensitive si Raven but when it comes to sexuality, madali siyang mainis. May pinaghuhugutan kasi, coming from his past experiences.

"Tell it to her bro. She still wouldn't believe it" pang-aasar ko pa.

"I'll make her pregnant then" he answered with a smirk.

This time, ako naman ang nambato ng throw pillow sa kanya na tumama sa mukha niya but he just laughed.

"Then prepared for Tito Sid's wrath. Huwag na huwag kang tatakbo samin if that happens" I threatened.

Natahimik siya. He knew how strict Yanna's father is.

"Wish you luck" I smirked then stood up and went to my room.

He murmured something that I barely heard. Hindi ko na lang pinansin at tuluyan na 'kong pumasok sa kwarto ko. I released a sigh of relief when my back finally lean against the bed. I felt so tired kahit wala naman akong masyadong ginawa. Mas nakakapagod pala kapag utak ang tumakbo ng tumakbo kesa sa katawan. Tss.

Nagshower ako to freshen up at saktong paglabas ko ng banyo, I heard my phone rang. My brows furrowed as I stepped forward to see who was calling me. I was expecting Tita Brenda but something inside my stomach churned when I saw her father's number on the screen.

"Yes, Pa?" I answered right away.

"Trystan? Kasama mo ba si Pamela?" He asked with a worried tone.

My forehead creased when I looked at the clock. It's almost midnight kaya wala pa si Pamela sa kanila?

"Hindi po.." I trailed off and remembered what had happened earlier. "I think she's with Yanna, I saw them earlier"

I heard a sigh from the other. Kahit wala pa siyang sinasabi, alam ko na agad ang sagot niya kaya nagmadali akong pumunta sa closet ko para kumuha ng mga damit at isuot ng hindi pinapatay ang cellphone.

"She's here at hindi niya kasama si Pamela. Nag-aalala na 'ko. Siguro nagtampo kasi napagsalitaan ko ng hindi maganda kanina. Alam mo ba kung saan siya pwedeng pumunta ng ganitong oras?"

I know a place. But I didn't say it out loud. It's her haven and im not in the position to just tell the place to them without her permission. I sighed and ruffled my hair.

"I'll find her" I answered instead.

He thanked me and ended the call. I lookes for me keys and ran outside my condo without bothering to see my reflection in the mirror with my hair uncombed.

I drove fast without a care with the speed limit. I needed to see her and make sure that she's safe. Hell, hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko if something happens to her. Dammit! I don't even want to think about it!

Mabilis akong nakarating sa subdivision nila. I drove fast until I finally reached the huge gate and honked my car to get the guard's attention.

"Sir?" tanong ng guard.

I gave him a small smile which he return when he recognized me.

"Sinusundo niyo na po ba yung girlfriend niyo? Kakarating lang niya" Sabi nito.

I felt relieved at what he'd said. Mas nilakihan ko pa ang ngiti sa kanya para payagan niya kong makapasok though this is a private property and to make it more awful, it's his property. Tss.

"Pwede ho ba akong pumasok? I just want to check on her"

He nodded and immediately opened the gate. I thanked him and promises that I wont take long which I didn't know would be just a minute.

I stopped the car and saw the two silhouettes siting next to each other at the big rock. I bit my lower lips then quickly started the engine again. Hindi ko na kailangang bumaba ng sasakyan coz im sure that it's her. Tuluy tuloy lang akong nagpaandar and briefly thanked  the guard for letting me come in.

Dumaretso ako sa bahay nila para sabihin kay Papa na ayos lang si Pam at safe na kasama si Ian. His face laced with concern when I mentioned his name. He knew about my feelings toward his daughter all along, but I never let him see that im hurting. I saw him the façade that I've been showing for a long moment now.

"Aalis na po ako" paalam ko.

He tapped my shoulder and gave me a tight smile before thanking me. Hindi na ko nagsalita, I just nodded my head and then climbed inside my car again.

"Trystan!" Ashley whined.

Siniko ako ni Raven "Bro, she's crying" pabulong na sabi nito.

I forehead creased as I shift my gaze on her direction. She entered the classroom with tears streaming down her cheeks. I felt a bit worried and quickly stood up para salubungin siya.

"Trystan.." she trailed off and immediately hugged me.

It caught me off guard but I sighed and pulled her away. I placed both of mt hands on her shoulders and level my eyea on hers. "What happened?" I asked.

I was truly concerned about her. Knowing that she's having a hard time accepting what was happening to her family make me forget how annoying and creepy she is. Looking at her innocent face that has tears falling down makes me worried more. Those sad eyes. Just dammit.

She didn't respond. Mas lalo lang siyang umiyak habang tinatakpan ang mukha niya. Mas kumunot ang noo ko nung makita ko yung braso niya. There are two long scratches na sobrang pula at padugo na.

"Who did this to you?" I asked and grabbed her bruised arm.

I don't know but I don't like it when someone was hurting physically. I may be harsh but I don't hurt them in a physical way if it's not needed. Tss.

Binawi niya ang braso niya saka tinago ang kalmot. But it was too late because I already saw it. My jaw clenched as I stared at her.

"Tell me, Ashley.." I said in a soft voice. "Who did that to you?"

Humikbi siya saka dahan dahang nagbaba ng tingin at umiling. "You won't believe me anyway"

Guilt suddenly crepted me. Her expression was making me regret all the things that I've said to her before. Nakakakunsensya. Tss. I sighed and ruffled my hair.

Hinawakan ko ang kamay niya at hinila siya palabas ng classroom. "Just bring me to whoever it was then" I said without looking at her.

I thought she'll still refusr but I was surprised nung binilisan niya bigla ang paglalakad at nagpauna papunta sa isang pamilyar na classroom. That was when realization hits me.

My expression became cold and I immediately let go of her hand. Napatigil siya at napatingin sakin. She starts crying again and her eyes were begging to believe in her.

I heaved a sigh.

"Tell me who it is" I said in a very cold tone.
