CHAPTER 50

Say I am a freaking coward. Yes, I am. Not because I couldn't fight for what I feel but because I couldn't make a stand on my decision.

"Trystan!"

My steps halted when I heard someone called my name but never did I tried to look for who it was.

"Hoy! Trystan! Tumingin ka nga dito!"

I heaved a sigh and made my expression neutral as I turned to face my cousin Yanna.

"Saan ka pupunta? Pinagtataguan mo ba kami?" she asked straightforwardly while raising her eyebrows.

I shook my head and kept my eyes on her though I could feel another intent stares from someone else's bukod sa masamang tingin ni Yanna.

"Saan ka pupunta?" asked Yanna again.

"Kay Ashley" I said casually though deep inside im kinda hesistant to say her name in front of them. Lalong lalo na sa harap ni Pam, like it was just wrong.

"Psh! Ashley?! That liar?"

"Yanna" saway ko.

She threw me daggers before rolling her eyes. I know they don't like her but I hope they would understand her situation. If only they were in my shoes..

"Syota mo na?"

Shock was understatement when I look at Pam who suddenly spoke. I was not just shocked that she asked me, im very shocked at her question!
"Tsk." she looked away then turned to Yanna "Ano bang gagawin natin dito Yanna? Uuwi na 'ko" sabi niya ng hindi na hinintay pa ang sagot ko.

She then walked away and left us stunned.

"Wait Pam!" Yanna shook her head on me first before following her best friend.

I wasn't able to move as I watched them leaving. Then I felt a pat on my shoulder that wakes me from my reverie.

"Bro, bakit hindi mo sinagot yung tanong ni Pam?" asked Raven who was already beside me.

I heaved a sigh then shook my head. Nagulo ko ang buhok ko at napapikit na lang. I wanted to chase her and tell that Ashley is not my girlfriend but im afraid that if I do, and lost in her eyes again, it might trigger my emotion and I might confess right away. I don't want to be a hindrance, if she's happy now.

"Ayaw mo ba talaga?"

I frowned at Raven. He grinned then shook his head.

"Hindi mo pa nga sinusubukan, sumuko ka na agad. Tsk. Hindi matutuwa si Tita niyan" umiiling na sabi nito.

I ignored him then walked to my car. He let me leave and didn't add anymore lecture. Tss.

I admit, tinamaan ako sa sinabi niya pero anong magagawa ko? I wanted to save my heart from breaking it into pieces. May lamat na nga, bakit ko pa hahayaang tuluyang mabasag? Tss.

Pumasok ako sa ospital kung saan nakaconfine ang Mommy ni Ashley. After a week, her body became stable but sad to say that she's still unconscious. I pitty Ashley, to be honest.

"It's your fvcking fault that your mother is sick!" I heard someone shouted inside Ashley's mother room.

My hand that was about to open the door suddenly hanged in the air.

"Kasalanan mo, kung bakit niya tayo iniwan! Kasalanan mo kung bakit siya nandito ngayon! If she didn't wake up.. Don't fvcking cry and don't show your face to me again!"

I closed my palms into fist then bravely open the door without knocking. Their attention turned to me and I saw how Ashley's father's jaw clenched when he saw me.
