Raven's Point of View

"Finally, you decide to join us," Declan stated as he pulled out a chair for me.

"Did Michael and Jessica leave?" I asked as I sat down.

Jessica and Michael are my uncle and aunt. Cora nodded as she handed me a plate of pancakes.

"Right, ok, how much time do we have until school starts?" I asked. I grabbed a cup of coffee and ate my food.

A part of me still felt out of place, even if Declan was back. Before he finished his plate, he received a call and left to take it. When I asked him about it, he snapped and said to stay out of his business.

So much for twin bonding time.

"I'd like to know what died in his behind for him to snap at you like that," Cora stated as I simply shrugged it off.

We arrived at school, but I decided to stay in the student quad. It bothered me the way Declan had chosen to treat me, but I dismissed my hurt feelings.

I pulled out my sketchbook and plugged in my earphones and drifted off. Like always, I lost track of time, but it was fortunate that Cora called me out.

"Come on now; class starts in a few let's go," Cora spoke up as I began to put my things away.

I have first period with all three of them, so it isn't so bad. I mean, I hate my English class, but I'm sure they'll make it entertaining. Ms. Dorothy isn't so bad herself; I just never was fond of English.

"Alright, class," Ms. Dorothy started. "The person sitting next to you will be your partner for the rest of the school year."

As if on cue, Declan and I looked at each other. I was still upset with him, but I'd rather have him as my partner than someone else.

Cora and Everette sat together too, and everyone else in the class kept whispering and talking about Declan and me just because we're twins.

Then Declan nudged me, "Seems like they've never seen twins before." I shrugged it off and glared at the teenagers who kept staring.

I don't understand why their eyes were so focused on us. Everyone in town knew I had a twin, and it's not like they've never seen twins.

"Tell me about it," I mumbled.

After a while, the teacher just gave us worksheets to complete with our partners. Declan and I were done and turned in our work together.

Ms. Dorothy grabbed our papers, but before we left, she said that she'd forgotten to take attendance, "My apologies kids, I'm getting old."

"Ok, well, we have a new student, and his name is Declan Carter." Ms. Dorothy then looks up to Declan and me. "Right, the famous twins that everyone seems to talk about."

Ms. Dorothy was new to town. Not to mention she was old too. I was surprised that her tone changed once she stared at us.

"Must be nice to have a twin." Someone from the back spoke up.

"Well, it's nice to meet you. I tend to forget things." Ms. Dorothy stated.

"Anyhow back to work, I'll continue calling out your names, please pay attention." Ms. Dorothy finished.

Ms. Dorothy had finished calling attendance, and we ended up taking a few notes, and just like that, it was time for second period.

Did I forget to mention that Declan made sure to get every class with me? Well, he did, and I have no idea how he did that. I wasn't even sure if we were back on good terms yet.
