**** A/N: This is a long-ish chapter since I've merged another chapter with it. Also, it will be back and forth between Raven and Malakai. Ok, I'll let you read now. ****
• Chapter Twenty-Seven •
Raven's Point of View
It's been one whole week since that peaceful day. Since then, Kai and I have rarely hung out. We were becoming distant again. He doesn't even speak with Gavin or Alessandra. He went completely off the grid. He hasn't come to school, hasn't called, he just disappeared. Something was completely off. I didn't want to question anything because not everything can always last so perfectly.
His mother, too, doesn't know where he went. Gavin has tried calling Blaise, but he won't budge and say if Kai's with him or not. His birthday is also coming up in less than a month. If you thought having a relationship was hard, then you are right. Our relationship is as confusing as I am.
"Raven, are you alright?" Gavin asked suddenly at my daydreaming self.
We were in the last period, Gavin and I have bonded over these few months. At first, he was cold and the stereotypical bad boy, but he has changed. I know that he's trying to become better, trying to become worthy for himself and Cora.
Everette has given his full authority to Gavin with Cora. Which made me happy considering Everette only wants what's best for his sister.
"Yeah I'm fine, it's just he hasn't called. We don't know where he's at or if he's injured." I stated as I let out a heavy sigh.
He moved one seat closer to me as he and I shared the same facial expression. "I know how you feel. I'm as worried as you are." He said sincerely.
For the remainder of the class, it was like a blur to me. As I got up, I felt completely dizzy. I had to grab the table to regain balance. Although that wasn't enough, suddenly, my surroundings started to spin fast.
"Raven!" I heard before I felt myself collide with the floor.

My head was pounding. I slowly opened my eyes but I had to blink a few times to adjust to my surroundings.
"Where am I?" I found myself asking.
"Gavin insisted on bringing you to the hospital," Cora spoke up as she took hold of my hand.
I then noticed Gavin fast asleep on the chair beside me. "Was it that necessary?" I asked.
My mouth suddenly felt so dry, and my stomach was empty. "Raven, you haven't been eating or drinking enough water. Of course, it was necessary." Cora said with a furious expression.
"Cora, take it easy on her, Raven, what's going on?" Declan asked in a more calm tone.
"I brought you some food and water. Thought you could use some after you woke up." Vince's voice suddenly surprised me.
I'm sure my facial expression showed how confused I was. "Vince wanted to tag along, so I let him come with us." This time it was Gavin who spoke up.
"When a friend passes out, you don't bombard them with questions." He added as he stared at Cora.
Vince placed the tray of food in front of me, while Declan and Cora stood beside me. I didn't care whether it was hospital food or not. I simply found myself devouring the food in front of me.

"Take care, make sure you eat. Don't let Malakai bring you down. I'm sure he's fine." Dawson reassured me before walking away. I scared everyone that I've been pampered since I woke up.
