External Point of View
With Raven out of sight, every single girl in Eastwood High was utterly fascinated with both Malakai and Gavin.
Every girl wanted them. They were 'Greek God's' according to all the girls in Eastwood High. Even the popular jocks wanted to be them.
He was about six-foot-tall or probably even just a tad bit more. He had light blue eyes with a tint of gold around the iris and a smile to die for. He was the guy that Raven wasn't ready to face just yet, Malakai Crane.
"You know I'm starting to question as to why the hell we came back," Gavin spoke up as he put on his jacket.
"Well, what can I say, Gavin, it was time to come back home," Malakai stated as he smiled at a group of girls who passed by.
"Well, I'm not too happy about this, but I sure as hell will take advantage of this. I came back for Cora the way I had originally planned." Gavin stated as Malakai rolled his eyes.
Gavin and Malakai were your typical 'bad boys,' and yes, they just didn't care who they hurt. The type of guys to break the rules, but both bad boys had the sweetest of souls. On the outside, they could make people think that they're all tough, but deep down, they are as fragile as any other human being.
"You think she'll let you back in her life just like that?" Malakai asked as he lit a cigarette.
Both cousins started to walk towards the school building when Malakai noticed a particular group of friends. His memory wasn't all that good but not that bad either, which made a few stand out to him.
"Gavin, I think the love of your life is right in front of you," Malakai said out loud.
Gavin looked towards where Malakai was pointing before he spoke up.
"They haven't changed at all, well not to mention puberty, of course. Cora got hotter over the past years and not to mention Raven. Well, she's hot too, but that's your girl." Gavin spoke up but immediately regretted his last sentence.
The familiar name made Malakai feel all fuzzy inside, like when they all used to hang out as little kids.
"Raven?" Malakai asked, it felt weird and so foreign to him to say the name after so long.
"Yeah, don't even bother looking for her, though. She left early. Raven seemed to have gotten sick. She passed out during gym class." Gavin stated as if it were nothing too serious to stress about.
But to Malakai, it was very important, when Gavin mentioned Raven, it seemed as if someone slapped him across the face. Nonetheless, the day seemed to go by like a blur, Malakai for sure knew that Declan would somehow try and help him out.
Although he knew he'd have to keep up a bad boy cover for a while, he couldn't avoid the way he felt for her. His previous actions had a reason, now he was back to mend those actions.
Raven's Point of View
As I finished my breakfast, my mind kept being bombarded by a certain blue-eyed boy.
Malakai Crane.
I still couldn't believe he was back. I didn't get enough sleep last night because of him. I kept tossing and turning and never got a chance to sleep. It's been a week actually, and I'm quite glad I hadn't bumped into him, not once.
