Malakai's Point of View
I knew this wasn't the right thing to do. But after thinking it over and over, I knew I had to cut things with her. I had to. It would be the only way to keep her safe.
"Are you seriously going to break up with her?" I found it unbelievable how Clayton was against my decision.
Ever since I told both Clayton and Blaise, all I've heard was 'you'll regret it' or 'she'll hate you' and whatnot. I thought Blaise would be ecstatic about it. Truthfully these men were quite bipolar compared to myself.
"Yes, it's the only choice I have. I can't let Shane get to her." I told him.
"I said I would help keep her safe. You need to think this through Malakai, I just ask for more time." Blaise tells me, but I had already made my choice, and I wasn't going to change it.
"I don't have more time," I say as I spare him one last glance before I leave. I grab my car keys and jacket and exit out the front.

I've been waiting inside my car for about an hour. I was at our usual spot. It was far from both Raven and my house. We would come here once and while to enjoy the view in front of us. Whenever we needed to talk about certain things, we would come here to talk about them.
Now all I had to do was start calling her to ask her to come. So I began to call, but she wouldn't answer. I was going to leave a voicemail, but instead, I kept calling. After about twelve times, she finally answered.
Well, here goes nothing. I thought before Raven herself broke the silence.
Raven
"What?" She sounded angry. I can't believe what I'm about to do. Declan will kill me for breaking her heart.
"Well, hello to you, too," I stated, trying to sound as casual as possible.
"Speak, Malakai, what do you want?" She's not in a good mood. This could make this easier. I thought to myself.
I had to do this if I wanted to keep her safe. Even if it meant losing her for good. Not to mention a broken nose and possibly broken ribs.
"Meet me at our spot. I have to tell you something." Were my final words before literally hanging up on her.
After ending the call, all I had to do was wait for her to come. I quickly sent a text to Clay and Blaise.
"Please don't hate me after this," I spoke out loud into nothing.
I got out of my car and began to pace back and forth. After who knows how long Raven's car came to view. I leaned against my car, taking a deep breath.
