**** A/N: So Malakai is quite sudden with his decision making. It's abrupt as well but trust the process, the dots will begin to connect soon. ****

Malakai's Point of View
To say that I was shocked was a complete understatement. I probably messed up big time with Gavin and Raven. I was way too drunk, and I was insulting everyone, hell I even beat the shit out of Gavin. I have a lot of mood swings, and sometimes I can't control them.
What pissed me off the most was that Blaise decided to show up at the party.
After the party, Blaise pulled Gavin and me out to discuss some business. Blaise told me that he finally knew who Raven was to me. Declan told me not to worry since Blaise cares for her the same way he does to Declan.
Blaise said he knew why I came back. He threatened me to leave her alone.
That's what made my blood boil more. I've been hiding my feelings towards Raven for a long time from him. I left Virginia in the first place to leave Raven out of my crazy world. I did what Matt's uncle and aunt did to protect their girls.
Though that didn't end well. Anyways not the point I was trying to get at, back to business.
Gavin had to pay the price by losing his parents, and what for? Gavin just wanted out of the game, but Blaise wouldn't allow it without a cost.
Once Blaise had left, some random crew showed up. They were claiming to show who was better. Meaning the enemies of Blaise wanted to show who had the power. I tried fighting back, but from two against one, it went to a whole group. They didn't do too much to Gavin, but he still did get a few bruises here and there.
Declan had left with Blaise but came back after a while, and he too got a few punches thrown at him. One of the guys even told us to send a message to Blaise. To say to him that Shane was coming for him. The only reason they came after us was because we are the only ones that have Blaise's trust.
Blaise is the type of guy that won't stop until he gets what he wants. He loves to be in control, to have power, to be at the very top. Blaise doesn't care how he gets the power, or how many people have to die to get it. Blaise doesn't give second chances, and he hates betrayal.
That night Gavin didn't know what to do. We couldn't go back home, or else my mother would have freaked. So he did the only thing that he could. Raven and the others were shocked once they saw the bad state that we were in. We weren't going to tell them what happened if we did we'd be putting Declan on the spot too.
Despite the way I acted, they still helped us, and I, of course, apologized for my actions. Hell, I even came up with a ridiculous idea of inviting them on a trip. Technically my lunacy had a straightforward meaning and, of course, intending to keep them safe.
I mean, the farther we are from here, the safer they'll be from our enemies. I know I can't keep them away all the time, but things are heated here in Virginia.
School had been passing by like a blur, and by now, I was somewhat healed. I still had to be careful since I again had broken ribs, but other than that, everything's okay.
Today we had our homecoming game. We are playing against the Timber Wolves. I've heard that they don't have the best players so it should be an easy win. But I never judge a team before playing them.
"Do you think they noticed anything?" Gavin asked me. We were in our last class, which I was thankful for.
"About Blaise?" I asked.
