Raven's Point of View

Saturday mornings are just dull and miserable. I've always been a sluggish person on Saturday mornings. I honestly didn't feel like getting up today. Declan and I ended up talking up until three in the morning about his second date with Andrea.

From what I've heard, they had enough fun last night. He took her out for a fancy dinner, then to the nearby lake. Declan finally made it official, and now my best friend is dating my brother. Wow I never thought I'd say that.

"Raven, get up. The others will get here soon!" Cora stated. I groaned against my pillow when I heard footsteps outside my room.

"Raven, get up you lazy child."

"No," I mumbled against the pillow.

Since I didn't want to get up, Cora opened up the curtains and pulled off my blanket.

"Cora!" I squealed. I only had my shorts and a see-through top.

"Get your lazy butt up," Cora stated not batting an eyelash at my outfit. Instead of listening to her, I just fell to the floor where my blanket was.

"Seriously, Raven." Cora sighed, with annoyance clear in her voice.

"Yes, seriously," I stated in a 'duh' tone.

"Then you give me no choice," Cora said.

I heard her leave the room, and I sighed. I got up and jumped onto the bed with my blanket.

"Either you get up the good way or the bad way," Cora stated. I didn't even notice when she came back, so I stuck my tongue out and snuggled onto my blanket.

"Bad way it is then," Cora stated.

It went silent again, and I took that chance to get my pillow off the ground and snuggled to my pillow again.

"She's all yours!" Cora yelled.

Next thing you know, I felt cold water thrown at me. "What. The. Hell!" I yelped at each word, trying to breathe.

I looked up, and Cora had a water gun, and so did Declan while Everette had water balloons.

"You, guys, are rude." I angrily say.

I jumped out of bed and went running after them.

"Now!" Everette shouted. When I reached downstairs, I was caught off guard with more cold water.

"Morning, sweetie!" My aunt Jessica stated with a huge smile.

"I warned you." Cora simply stated.

"I hate you all," I said, while water droplets fell to the floor. With one last glare at them, I walked upstairs and started looking for dry clothes and my towel.

"You better hurry, the others will be here soon," Everette shouted.

"Fine," I mumbled.

I don't have a typical family.

"You, guys, are cruel," Andrea stated.

Eventually, my weird family spilled the beans from this morning's events. It was all they talked about since coming for breakfast.

"It's not that funny," I whined. I wasn't in the mood to tolerate them. So I stood up and headed towards the door.

Before I walked out, I remembered the car keys were on a drawer, so I quickly got them and got to my car.
