Everette's Point of View

"Where are they?" I shouted as I stormed into the hospital hallway. Jess and Dawson quickly stood up, and they had dark circles already forming under their eyes.

Only Cora, Raven, Declan, and I came back. We told the others to stay that we would be fine. They didn't want to, but with my frustration and my angry voice, they had no other option but to obey.

"They don't have much time left," Dawson spoke up.

"What do you mean they don't have much time? How bad was the freaking accident?" I yelled in both anger and pain. Was this the pain the twins felt?

"Very bad, your father took most of the impact. Jessica is unstable. She's lost too much blood." Dawson said as I stood there, numb.

"What room are they in?" Cora asked, trying to maintain her voice from cracking. "Last room to the right down the hallway," Jess spoke up as she pointed towards the room.

I couldn't walk, no, I ran to my parent's room with Cora on my heels. The twins looked very broken as if remembering the accident that killed their parents. They stood frozen in place lost in their hell. As broken as they looked, they came into the room, where my parents laid hooked up to wires. A couple of nurses were in the room, followed by a doctor.

"They're stable for now, but I don't think they'll last much longer. Your parents are slowly giving up. Our chief neurologist said they show no brain activity what so ever, and their heartbeat is too weak." The doctor informed us.

"Can't you do something to help them?" I yelled out in desperation. The doctor only backed away slowly from me to which Cora grabbed my arm.

"I'm sorry, but I have done everything in my power to keep them alive. To my dismay, they have stopped fighting." The doctor spoke up.

"How long do they have before-" Cora couldn't even finish her sentence. She started to cry as the doctor only gave us a pitying look.

"You must say your goodbye's before time runs out." The so-called doctor stated as he walked out alongside the nurses. What kind of doctor says I think?'

Once we were alone with our parents, I started to cry. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd be losing my parents. No one is ever ready to lose their parents, especially as they become adults. We don't come into this world with instructions to tell us how to handle this sort of situation.

"We can't lose them, Everette, not now," Cora spoke up.

As much as I wanted to keep my parents alive, I knew that'd be impossible. Looking at the way they were attached to so many wires just proved it.

"Please wake up." Cora had grabbed our parent's hands as she spoke. "We still need you." Everything went silent in the room for a moment; the only noise you could hear was the monitors. After a long, excruciating silence passed; one of the monitors began to go crazy.

"Oh god, it's Michael," Raven spoke up, Jess and Dawson barged into the room.

"Go call the doctor. Now," Dawson told Jess as she obeyed and ran out.

"His heartbeat is weakening a lot faster," Dawson stated as we glanced at the monitor. It wasn't too long before nurses and doctors came rushing into the room.

"You must wait in the waiting room." A nurse told us. Of course, I wasn't going to leave, but Dawson and Jess pulled me out of the room.

"You need to relax, Everette," Jess told me. "Relax?" I stared at her as if she were a madman. "That's impossible knowing my parents might die," I said, fighting back my tears.
