• Chapter Twenty-Eight •
Malakai's Point of View
"You guys went overboard with this." It is the first thing that came to my mind when I stepped into my own home. I agreed to them throwing me a nineteenth birthday party, but now I regretted that decision.
Sure it looked great, but this was still too much. I never really was into the whole birthday party thing.
"Do you not like the effort we put into this?" Alessandra asked, offended.
"I mean come on, man, this wasn't easy. Especially when it comes to you." Declan added as he furrowed his eyebrows.
That's true now that I think of it, lets not forget I haven't been the best guy thus far.
"It's not that, I just, you know what... I like it." I said, trying to put some effort into forming a genuine smile.
"Great, now go change into something else. People will get here soon." Raven said as she tiptoed to give me a peck on the lips. After that I quickly went to my room to change.
I dressed in jeans and a plain black shirt. "Hey, there birthday boy," Raven spoke up as she walked inside my room.
I turned around to kiss her. After all, I think I owed her more than just a kiss. Although for now, this will have to suffice.
"What was that for?" She asked with a smile.
"Let's just say that this is me trying to make it up to you," I said, taking hold of her.
Raven smiled at me as she leaned in for another kiss. My hands instantly wrapped around her torso. With Raven in my arms, I slowly started walking forward. I had pinned her to the wall but didn't break away from the kiss.
"We...should...really...get...back...downstairs," Raven said between kisses. "Yeah....definitely," I say as I continued to kiss her.
Raven then wrapped her legs around my hips as I grabbed onto her thighs to keep her steady. My lips went from her mouth down to her neck.
"Malakai, we should leave," Raven spoke up after pulling away from me.
I wasn't listening to anything she was telling me. Raven was wearing a tight black dress, she looked stunning in it, and she was mine. I continued to kiss her from her neck back up to her lips. We were both fighting for dominance, but neither of us halted.
"Hey, what's t-" Alessandra had walked in on us.
Great.
Raven quickly got off me as she immediately blocked her face with her hands. "I am so sorry. I didn't think you'd be busy." Alessandra stated, trying not to laugh.
"You should knock next time," I spoke up, sarcastically giving her a pointed look.
"Right, well, I'll see you downstairs," Alessandra stated as she walked out. "Use protection. I am too young to become an aunt!" She added as I slammed my door shut.
Raven's cheek visibly turned red as a tomato as I mentally facepalmed. "Alright let's get going, wouldn't want to get walked in on again." I finally spoke up, grabbing her hand. Raven nodded, and we both went downstairs, only to now find many people inside my home.
"It's not even nine o'clock," Raven stated, surprised. Usually, people start coming later than ten o'clock or something.
"I was trying to tell you that, but you two were busy eating each other's face," Alessandra said in a 'duh' tone.
