Malakai's Point of View

Yesterday didn't exactly turn out the way I would have expected, but at least it's some sort of change. I was able to spend time with Raven and her friends, which is progress. That small little progress turned into a wake-up call for me. I still couldn't believe yesterday's events.

In my head, I knew Everette was right. I did hurt Raven. I toyed with her heart that I can't deny, but for her to even cut her wrist because of me. Now that is something I didn't think would happen. I expected the hurt, the hatred, and all the above but not self-harm. Even if Raven said it wasn't my fault entirely, I still did play a massive part in it.

I was to blame for her broken heart. I had ruined her. Everette made it clear to me that he hates me for causing so much pain in Raven's life. So here I am, absolutely drained and with no sleep whatsoever wondering how the hell I was going to fix all my wrongdoings.

"Kai, hurry up. We're already running late!" Gavin yelled from downstairs.

"Coming!" I shouted; I grabbed my leather jacket, car keys, and quickly headed downstairs.

"You two better behave today. Malakai make sure to tell Raven that I miss her and to take care." My mom said on my way out.

"Will do, mom!" I shouted back as I closed the front door.

"Dude, come on!" Gavin yelled, annoyed.

Raven's Point of View

"Cora, how is it that you don't seem bothered by being around Gavin?" I asked out of curiosity.

We were in our second to last class taught by Mr. Jackson, who always fell asleep as soon as roll call was done.

"Because I still like him, Raven, and well, I just feel safe around him. I know it's stupid because when he first arrived, I called him a jerk and what not. But I realized that I still liked him." Cora said, holding onto her swan necklace he'd given her on her sixteenth birthday.

"I don't know how you do it, though. I mean, yes, I still like Malakai, but I can't seem to forgive him completely." I say. "Just give it some time, okay," Cora suggested as I smiled at her before putting our things away to head out.

"Raven, I thought you and Cora had joined the dance team," Casey stated, a bit confused.

Right about that, did I forget to mention that we quit the moment the Queen Bee walked in? Well, we did, plus it was boring for us, and many of the dancers were too picky. Either way, we had our mindset with the boxing sessions with Ian and Dawson.

"Oh no, we quit the dance team the first day. It wasn't our thing." Cora stated as I nodded.

Everette still wasn't talking to any of us, and Kai kept his conversations to a minimum. Gavin and Cora seemed to be even more carefree now. Although I know Everette isn't fond of the idea.

"So, um... Andrea, I'll be picking you up at seven later on." Declan spoke up.

"Why would you pick her up at seven?" Casey asked, obviously confused. That's when Cora and I explained the situation. Of course, we had Declan spill the beans after Andrea being 'sick' situation.

"Awe, someone has a crush on Andrea." Leah chirped happily. Andrea's cheeks went red while I saw Declan's cheek turn into a light shade of pink.

"But wait, you're ok with it?" Casey asked, looking directly at me.
