Raven's Point of View

God, my entire body felt as if it were on fire. Shane had knocked both Gavin and me, and now here I was. My arms were tied to the ceiling, and I could smell my dam blood. The stench of it made me want to barf. My eyes briefly went over to Gavin, and he, too, was tied like I was.

The chairs we were once tied to were long gone. I gazed up to my tied hands and tried to pry the rope off but no success. The dam knot was pretty intense all on its own. Great. I mumbled to myself as I tried again but failed miserably.

"You'll simply tire yourself," I heard Shane state as I grimaced.

I heard footsteps near me as I stilled. Shane then appeared in my line of vision, holding a gun in hand. I visibly shook as he brought it up to my stomach. No, please don't. I cried in my head as Gavin started to curse and thrash around.

It was freaking impossible to get out of these ropes. Shane made it clear that we could not escape without giving Malakai hell first.

"Stop being so pathetic," Shane said, annoyed as he put his gun away. He muttered a few curse words as I then felt a sting on my thigh.

"That'll shut you up," Shane said as he walked away.

My eyes became droopy as I stared back at Gavin who had been drugged too. "Loverboy is here," I heard before dozing off into the darkness.

Ugh, why can't I catch a darn break? I thought to myself as I heard voices in the distance. My throat felt dry, and my body ached from pain.

"You'd have to kill me first asshole," I heard Gavin mutter as I slowly pried my eyes open. Shane stood in between Gavin and me as he stared at someone on the opposite side of us.

What the hell? I asked, but my eyesight was still quite blurry. Malakai! My mind was at a frenzy. Clay was here with him, and my god did they look ready to murder Shane.

Focus! My mind told me as I took in my surroundings.

"That can be arranged, Gavin," Shane brought out a gun and pointed to Gavin's head. Something snapped in me that I tried to wriggle my way out of the ropes as I begged Shane not to shoot.

In an instant, Shane turned my way and smacked me across the face with his gun. I let out a yelp as my cheek stung from the impact. You are so dead! I yelled in anger in my mind.

"I wouldn't do that," Shane stated with a low chuckle. My eyes followed his gaze and noticed Malakai and Clay were nearer with their guns directed at Shane.

They were ready to shoot his ass but stopped when familiar cries were heard.

Leah, Cora, and Everette were being dragged toward us from behind. No, no, no! "You kill me, and they're dead too," Shane said as he cackled like the psychotic maniac that he was.

Get me out of these! I roared in my mind. I didn't care if I was pregnant, Shane would be killed by my hand and no one else's.
