Raven's Point of View

"Raven, did you load our training gear?" Cora yelled from across the hall.

I was in the kitchen while she was in the living room. "Yes, so are Everette's and Declan's. Don't worry, Cora, it's all good." I stated as I walked into the living room.

"Kids, if you don't hurry up, you will be late!" Jessica yelled, being her usual motherly self.

"We're coming!" Declan shouted from upstairs.

It's been like this the past three days, always yelling at each other from across the hall or from one room to another.

"Guys, don't make me go up there myself. Hurry, we need to meet up with the rest at the diner." Cora shouted with annoyance.

"Jesus this woman and her threats," Everette stated as he came down the stairs. I grabbed the car keys and started to head out.

"Bye, mom. Bye, Dad. We'll see you later!" Cora yelled as she slammed the front door shut.

"Guys, we only have a few minutes hurry up and eat," Trish spoke up as she threw her trash away.

We woke up way too late but then again it's school. The only reason we were so worried is that the principal has been entirely too bossy. Any student that was late and caused chaos would have detention or not participate in senior activities. Anything really, even breathing was a sin nowadays with our principal.

"God, she's right, come on, let's go," Leah stated.

We soon left the diner and got in our cars as we made our way to school.

"Darn, that was so close," I stated as we got out of the cars.

"Only six minutes spared before the late bell rings." Cora piped in as we rushed off.

I rolled my eyes as I speed walked to class. "You know we practically woke up early to avoid this," I said as I knew the others were behind me. "But no, Everette and Declan decided to take their sweet time." Let's just say today didn't start so good.

"At least we made it on time," Declan stated, making me stop and turn around to face him.

"We barely made it, keyword: barely," I mumbled, trying to contain my sudden anger.

"What's got your panties in a twist, woman?" Corey asked.

"Push off, would you," I stated as I turned on my heel and stormed off to class.

I don't even understand myself right now. Maybe it's because I need my bucket of ice cream and my bed or probably some strong painkillers. Though that could have been easily solved, no, my attitude was like this for a reason. Ever since Gavin came back, my emotions and mood have been on a spiral, not to mention with Cora blabbering about how Gavin left roses in her locker.

Maybe that's why I'm such in a bitchy mood. Although she hated him for breaking her heart, she seems to have easily forgotten the issue. Though I'm very dramatic about it, I still was not ready to face Gavin's cousin. But I can't deny that he was a big part of my life and continues to.

For now, all I desired was that I didn't have any classes with Gavin. I don't even want to bump into him and have a cliche moment where he tries to gain my trust again. Realizing I walked pretty fast, I stopped for a moment to calm my nerves.
