"I was nervous about today but once I heard the music start I got out of my head and just went into the routine," I was talking to my friend Cole outside of the studio.
"I know right! Today was great! Saw some new faces too so the word is getting out," he pulled me in for a quick hug.
"Need a ride home?"
"Nah, I'll walk. It's nice out today."
"Ok. Text me when you get home."
"Back at ya. Be safe at work today."
I smiled at the sentiment.
I was getting my bike started when I got a call. "Garcia."
"Hey, Maia. I know it's a Saturday but we need you to come in," Sonny explained.
"Right now or can I-."
"The boss says now."
I was still in my workout clothes and probably smelled like sweat. "Yeah. Ok. I'll be there."

I walked in to the station, everyone was looking at me because of my informal attire. I had an extra pair of clothes with me in my bag so I could change as soon as I walked in.
"What's up?," I headed in to the briefing room to see if this case was as urgent as Sonny sounded.
"We just got a new case. What are you wearing?," Sonny eyed me.
"Workout clothes," I looked down at my leggings, crop top, and heels.
"If you say so."
"Garcia?," Benson walked in looking at my outfit.
"I had to rush here, didn't have time to change but I do have an extra pair of clothes in my bag."
She nodded. "Well go get dressed while we wait for Fin and Rollins to show up."

"We have a twenty five year old male who came in and reported a rape. He said that his attacker wore a ski mask and gloves. He also states that the attacker used a condom as well, saw him slip it on then stuff it into a bag before leaving. He tied the young man to his bed and after he was done he cut him loose then ran out," Liv relayed the facts to the whole group.
"Is this the same attacker from last month's victim?," I asked. "It's the same MO but with a women. Do you think they're the same guy?"
"Maybe. Rollins see if there are any cases like this one in the past. Garcia and Carisi go talk to the vic and see if he remembers anything else."

"Mr. Sorentino?," I knocked on the door.
"Give me a few minutes," he called after awhile.
"How was your workout today?," Sonny started after a beat.
"Good. Wish I could've gone home to shower though."
He nodded understanding my situation. Before he could add anything the door opened.
"Hello?," Pete answered the door and poked his head out a little.
"Mr. Sorentino. We're from SVU. I'm Detective Garcia and this is Detective Carisi. We're here to talk to you about the attack."
"Oh, sorry, yeah come in."
We walked in and from the looks of the place he wasn't ok. Tissues on the floor, papers scattered around, boxes of takeout, and bottles of beer thrown around. "Sorry about the mess. I had uh a party."
"It's ok," I spoke softly.
We walked over to the couch and took a seat.
"Mr. Sorentino can you remember anything else about your attacker. Eye color, maybe a mark, or something like that," Sonny questioned him.
"He had brown eyes, deep brown. Wrinkles near his eyes. His voice was rough and he sounded older," he rubbed his arms, trying to shake off his nerves.
"This is very helpful, Peter. Thank you," I assured.
He shrugged and looked down at his shakey hands. "I just want this son of a bitch caught."
Before we left I pulled Peter aside and told him that coming forward was really brave of him. He shrugged at my words.

"The other vic described the same guy as your vic," Fin informed us as we walked in.
"I found two cases from awhile back that are similar but one of them the vic says she was able to get a look at him," Rollins pulled up the file on to the TV. "Brown eyes, bald, older white male," it was less but something to work with. "She also says she didn't know him at all."
"Fin, look through the system and see if we get any hits on a suspect that could look like this guy," Liv added.
"On it."

"I got three possible leads, Lieutenant," Fin came back after ten minutes.
"Garcia and Carisi go check out the first suspect on that list. Fin, you and Rollins go check out the second suspect."

"Mr. Nole?," I knocked on the door while Sonny looked towards the back of this guy's house.
"Maia! We got a runner!," Sonny was in pursuit while I ran towards the other side of the house.
He headed off to where I was heading. God, I hate running. I was close to him so I took this chance to tackle him down.
"Why you runnin?," I panted while cuffing him.
"Oh! Good you got him!," Sonny came over next to me. I huffed at him.

"Good job, Garcia," Liv praised when we got back to the precinct.
"I hope it's this guy. Made me run," I was agitated but it wore off.
"He's not talking so go in with Carisi and see if he'll talk now."

"Mr. Nole. How ya doin today? Went for a run back there, huh?," Sonny went over and sat across from him while I stood by the door.
"I was lounging when a couple of cops came to my house! And that one attacked me!," he spat back.
I held back a grin. "Why did you run from us in the first place?"
"Cops are no good. Plus I was taking drugs for my back problem. Ya would've arrested me anyways."
"Well we didn't come to your house for that. We want to know where were you yesterday night?," Sonny pressed the question.
"I was out at a strip club."
"Anyone there who can vouch for you," I questioned.
"Yeah, my bartender Murr."

"His alibi checks out," Sonny rubbed his eyes.
"And I got the security cam footage. He's there with the bartender like he said."
"Now we wait for Fin and Rollins to come back. The lieutenant's out too following a lead. Wanna go get lunch?"
I smiled. "Sure."
"What are ya hungry for?"
"Anything really."
"Cool cuz I know this great deli around the corner. I recommend the turkey club with everything."
"Sounds good."

After we ordered we chatted for a bit. We were sitting in a booth towards the back.
"Any plans coming up?," Sonny started off.
"Oh yeah that reminds me! I'm throwing a Halloween party if you're interested," I shrugged. Hopefully playing off how much I really want him to come over.
He laughed. "A Halloween party? You know that's the busiest day of the year for us, right?"
"Yeah, I know but I'm hoping it won't be too busy."
"What does this party entail?"
"Ok so we're gonna watch some scary movies late in the night. I'm gonna have the room pitch black too. Before that a little mingling, candy, drinks, stuff like that."
"Sounds like you're going all out."
"I love Halloween, it's the one time of the year you get to be whoever you want and an excuse to eat a ton of candy without anyone questioning you."
He laughed lightly. "Sounds like fun. I'll be there."
Feeling my cheeks turn warm I was glad when our food finally arrived.
