This relates to the entry, "Your enemies Your footstool." I was reading, actually just kinda searching for an entry, and I stumbled upon these verses. What caught my eye was Jesus talking to the Sadducees and asked them, "Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?"
I continued reading and came to Mark 12:35-37. I actually opened to the other page Mark 13:10, originally opened here. My Bible for some reason was by my chair and not in my bedroom; I am really good about putting my Bible where it goes. I am trying to explain, maybe to myself more than anything 😬. I am gonna write these verses now -Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, "How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David?
"For David himself said by
the Holy Spirit:'The LORD said to my Lord,
"Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies.
Your footstool. " '"Therefore David himself calls Him 'Lord'; how is He then his Son?" And the common people heard Him gladly.
Mark 12:35-37Jesus says in Revelation 22:16 that He is the creator (the root) of David as well as his offspring. I knew Jesus had been called the Son of David several times in the Bible, but I really didn't know why. I didn't learn this the first time, so I guess that is why I am here now.
This also relates to the BRANCH. It get tough at times, because I am really being taught. What is the test? Oh no!!!! I am understanding more but having some trouble reading in 1 Chronicles.
Before I forget, Jesus is called the Son of David because He is the Messiah; the prophecy has to be fulfilled. There may be another prophecy unfolding before our eyes. Keep your eyes open and be aware; most importantly, love Him and trust Him. Tell God that you love Him.Note - this is still a bit hard for me to understand - the flesh and Spirit. Jesus was of the flesh and fulfilled Scripture by being in the lineage of David. But King David knew who Jesus was in the flesh and Spirit.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Please read your Bible.
