"Then speak to him, saying, "Thus says the LORD of hosts, saying:
"Behold, the Man whose name is the
BRANCH!
From His place He shall branch out,
And He shall build the temple of the
LORD;
Yes, He shall build the temple of the
LORD.
He shall bear the glory,
And shall sit and rule on His throne;
So He shall be a priest on His throne,
And the counsel of peace shall be
between them both." '
Zechariah 6:12,13I had to come back and re-edit this again - I hope I get it right. Jesus is the BRANCH. What confused me earlier was the question of Jesus building the temple; he didn't. So we must look to the future, and now everything makes sense.
Notice it says that Jesus is the BRANCH - I wasn't sure the first time I wrote this. Yeah, I should have recognized the future tense with the word "shall." I just couldn't comprehend the Living Word.Note - I came back to this - AGAIN! Not enough that God made me open to this, I believe three times, and I still don't get it. The temple, as God says in Revelation 22, is within men. The sacrifice of Jesus caused this to happen. God's wisdom is so far beyond me. Maybe I will (with God's help) eventual get this passage. I will keep trying. Tell God you love Him.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Please read your Bible.
