     to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated "king of righteousness," and then also king of Salem, meaning "king of peace,"
     without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.
     Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of spoils.
                        Hebrews 7:2-4

     I wrote about Melchizedek in MY HIGHLIGHTED BIBLE VERSES - I copied and pasted this passage from that entry; I did open here.  I also wrote about Melchizedek in this book, SCRIPTURE SPEAKS, and I have way more understanding.  So what am I missing - what does God want me to learn?
     It may be God saying "Hi" again.  I was researching and I came across the god of Shalem in relation to Jerusalem.  I am looking right at "king of Salem" in the Bible - maybe I need to stop doing research.  :-)
     Melchizedek goes back to Genesis and Abram (Abraham).  Jerusalem was conquered by Joshua and King David.  Adoni-Zedek was king of Jerusalem when Joshua killed the five kings and hanged them on five trees.  I want to make a note - Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem and Melchizedek king of Salem.  Coincidence with the names, who knows, but I will try to find out.
     Does it matter who ruled or built Jerusalem before King David conquered it - to me, it does.  Moreover I think God wants me to know something - well I opened here again.  The mystery of Melchizedek has given me fits since I first read the Bible.
       I have wanted to leave Melchizedek alone, but he keeps popping up.  The new covenant needs a priest and Melchizedek is the one, that I understand - it took me awhile, but I finally got it.  So what else is missing?  I don't have a clue.
      I will absorb the new information I found, and then I will pray.  The only thing I do know is that God wants me to learn something, and I will; well, I already have.  Make sure to tell God that you love Him.

The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Please read your Bible.
