Paul Says To Comfort One Another

     Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:17

       Kinda interesting how I got here, but I won't bore you with that. The "alive and remain" seems to interest me. I think Jesus will descend from heaven, after he comes and conquers the earth; so the people that are true to Him will meet Jesus in the air.
I am still have problems with the "dead in Christ." Asleep in this passage is supposed to mean dead, but I don't understand.  It gets weird because we are talking about flesh bodies, the soul, and the spirit.  I have prayed and given this entry a lot of thought - and I am still not done.  Please, help me, Father!  (Note - just overthinking things, or am I?  Regardless, God is making me think!)
I really think that Paul was trying to comfort the people, and this verse should explain it -

Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:18

Why would he say that? I am telling you that it won't be pretty, billions will die. And if you think you will be separated from this, then you are misguided (my opinion only). Pray that God hides you on this day.
From this, I also looked at Revelation 20:4 and learned a little about evil. But also learned about the reward in Christ. The beheaded for Christ will live with Him for a thousand years. I would like to live with Jesus for a millisecond.
I am heading to the spirit and the soul, which gets a bit confusing for me. I do think that the soul is connected to our bodies, while we are alive. But when we die, it has to be connected with the spirit, or at least guided by the spirit. I am a flesh-body man, so what exactly do I know - not much, except what God lets me know. Tell God that you love Him!

The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

     Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.  Please read your Bible.
