Getting treasures by a lying
tongue
Is the fleeting fantasy of
those who seek death.
Proverbs 21:6I don't where to start on this one. I think I read this last night; well, I read quite a bit. I didn't like Proverbs as much as I did the first time. I love King Solomon, but he turned from God - he is just a man. Maybe I felt that he was a hypocrite, to a certain extent anyway. One verse really disturbed me -
The fear of the LORD
is beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the
Holy One is.
understanding.
Proverbs 9:10I am a little confused because of the verse that I have on my bathroom mirror -
And to man He said,
"Behold, the fear of the
LORD, that is
wisdom,
And to depart from evil is
understanding."
Job 28:28This is what God said, and fear of the LORD is wisdom, and not the beginning of wisdom. God will give you all the knowledge that He wants you to receive. (It is a lack of understanding.)
I didn't want to open here, but I think God did. I actually thought I was closer to the New Testament - again, that is what I get for thinking😬.
The first verse is pretty self-explanatory. Some people will do anything for treasure, even lie. I don't know if they are aware that the LORD giveth and the LORD taketh away. God is the only reason that we are here. He will give you everything you need. I need His love, and He needs me to tell Him that I love Him - I better do that first🙏. Tell God that you love Him.The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Please read your Bible.
