14: " Sunset Effect "

"Another bath? "

"Yes, another one,"Kiya sighed. "He is such a strange man."

"I wonder why he would ask you to do such a thing."

"He said it was because of the hot weather. That is a poor reason because it is always hot,but he insisted so I had no choice but to do as he wanted."

"Hmm."

Kiya soon got out and changed into garments fitting her Queenly position before going out to see the Pharaoh.

"Is this better?" She asked and he nodded approvingly.

"Good."

Kiya sighed turning on her heels before she was stopped by the Pharaoh.

"I am not taking another bath!"Kiya said quickly.

"That is not the reason why I called you," he said softly.

"What is wrong? Did I do something wrong?"

"No, it is nothing like that,"he replied.

"What is it then?"She asked.

"Meet me at the fountain...please? "

"Right now? I thought you were doing work with Amenei."

"Yes I am,"Khai exhaled heavily.

"Amenei does not look too pleased with that ides, "Kiya whispered to him.

"I know he would be this way so meet me at the fountain at sunset. "

"What for though."

"It is just important that you meet me there understand? "

"Yes, I will be there,"Kiya said before leaving.

Pharaoh Khai's P.O.V

"The fountain at sunset? What are you planning?" Amenei folded his arms and looked at me.

"I am planning nothing really."

"So what was the invitation for?"

"Just to talk."

"So that is all. You want to sit by water at sunset and just talk. You sound desperate and hopeless."

"That hurt you know that? That is not my intention just so you know. I am just trying something new."

"Hmm. Something new you say. I trust that you try not to jeopardize this slow blooming relationship of yours. I just need to say that if you ruin it you know the first new friend that she might run to."

"Do not even remind me,"I shuddered. "This is something I will not ruin. I know what I am doing."

"I am interested in what you intending to do. I would like to see how this plays out. There is just a few minor matters to take care of. Cyrus can do that for you, I will record and you can review tomorrow."

"So you are letting me go early? "

"Do not take it as a habit. Right now I am being a friend so get going before I realize what I have done,"Amenei smiled at me.

Amenei is not a person of emotions and her rarely ever smiles. The only thing he loves is his work and getting his work done on time. Him letting me go was him forgetting his work and putting me first.

"Thank you, "

"No need,just please do not destroy what little you barely have,"Amenei sighed as he gathered his things.
