63: " Suspicions "

"I have a question." Amenei crossed his leg rested his elbow on his knee and propped his head up. " Am I the only one concerned with this new relationship being formed between My Lady and the Princess?"

Ladonna exhaled loudly. " I was wondering when someone was going to mention that. If I said it I would just look bad in the eyes of others," she caster a glance at Nathifa and Rada.

"I cannot understand this tea thing,"Nathifa sighed.

"It has been going on for days and she always makes it herself," Aa added.

"I have not been around that much to realize such things. I just check up on her once in a while. She does not call up for help or anything any more.

"It scares me how she takes care of her," Ladonna shuddered.

"But My Queen looks so calm when she is speaking with her now , just comfortable likes she trusts her. I went to check on her a few mornings ago and I saw Zahra coming in with tea. I was rather shocked and called her name to make sure. We almost had a petty argument over it if it was not for the Queen who made her apologize and she did so immediately and did not even question her."

"And you never told me about my this Nathifa?"Ladonna asked.

"Well I hate how this feels and I fear for the Queen," Amenei said.

"Maybe she is really changing." Everyone's head slowly turned towards Rada with sharply raised eyebrows. " Do you all want to attack me now? That is simply my opinion."

"Hmm I hate everything!" Ladonna folded her arms upset.

"I would like to know how long she is going to stay here?" Amenei asked.

" The question is how long My Queen will let her stay!"Ladonna exhaled heavily.

" Why are we working up ourselves?" Rada raised her eyebrows at them. " Your minds must not believe in change anymore. Maybe because we all were so familiar with the hostile attitude it seems strange when she tries to behave in a friendly manner."

" But everything is suspicious Rada."

"Nathifa,I thought you were going going to wait and see if the a Princess really is changing." Ladonna glanced at her from the side of my eye.

"I can not take it anymore... the entire feeling is just ..." she trailed off on not finding anything to describe the feeling of the situation.

"In the end does it really matter what we think?"

"Lady Kiya is not like that and you know she will listen to us Rada ," Ladonna got up. "It is our duty to protect her. That is our order and we need to carry it out."

Rada sighed and continued her work. "Do not do anything without thinking about the consequences please," she advised.

"I will make sure," Amenei replied.

" And then who would watch you scribe?"

"I work off evidence and not solely off emotions,"Amenei defended.

"And you Rada? Why do you seem so calm ?"

" Aa this is my nature. I keep an eye on the Princess and lady Kiya at all times so if I do not see anything out of the ordinary, why should I be worried? Please remember who Lady Kiya is doing this for, The Pharaoh."

"Let he be Aa," Ladonna sighed. " This should not be an argument. We need to watch carefully because I hate this feeling."

"I agree," Amenei nodded.

"Amenei!" Kiya called out. " I need to speak with you."

"Of course My Queen," he stopped and turned around. " How may I help you?"

"Umm, can we sit and talk please?"

"Whatever you like My Lady, after you."

"How are you holding up? I am so sorry I cannot help you out. I can barely do anything I want to these days. Every day it just gets a little harder and I am trying my hardest to keep up. "

" I am fine My Queen. I know you feel much better when you have something to do but you should not worry so much. If I have a problem you know I will come straight to you. Your job right now is to take care of yourself until he returns."
Kiya sighed in frustration. "You realized."

"Well of course I did My Queen. I know you are worried but please do not be, I am certain any day now he will be home and everything will be back to normal and there will be no interference from anyone or anything. Everyone will be happy and there will be no need to worry. You can trust me on this."

"Thank you ," Kiya smiled. "I really needed that."

"It is my job! I am happy to do it so well."Kiya laughed. " My Queen, is it fine if I ask you a question?"

"Yes, what is the matter?"

" How is it going with the Princess?"

" Honestly she turned out to be great company. I never thought I would ever say that but she has feelings and she is really trying. I am not say we are friends and I am not saying we are enemies but I can say she is a good acquaintance so far. "

"Oh, I see, I just need to know everything is going well."

"I know but You are all concerned but she is not as horrible as she is perceived to be."

"I really hope you are correct about that."
