"I was sure she was trying to say something to me!"
"Pharaoh, think about this clearly now. Do not make assumptions too early," Amenei said.
"Amenei she was going to say it I am sure. Everything she said pointed to it! "
"But did she actually say it?"
"No ."
"Are you seeing my point here?"
"Are you seeing mine? She said she could not."
"I also remember you telling me that she told you it had nothing to do with you."
"So her statements were contradictory. I know she was trying to tell me something. When I asked her if she was drunk she told me no and she continued saying she wish she was at the moment because she could say what she would like to say. Remember the last time she was drunk!"
"Yes I do remember Pharaoh . I know you have high hopes but I would not like you to assume and be proven wrong," Amenei replied.
"I do appreciate the concern but I am not wrong with this, I am positive!"
"So you are absolutely sure she was trying to admitting she has feelings for...you," Amenei raised his eyebrows.
"When you say it in that tone you make it seem like a horrible thing to do."
"My Lord..."Amenei sighed deeply. "Do not jump to any conclusions before you hear it straight and plain from her. Rush nothing!"
"But I am getting old!"
"Great mercy Pharaoh you are going to be twenty two !" Amenei covered his face with his hand.
"I cannot wait forever!"
"I did not say to wait forever My Lord. If you really do feel she was trying to tell you about her feelings some time is need for her to figure out how to get her thoughts together and she will say it when the time is right."
"I understand,"Khai nodded.
"Good."
"But-" Khai attempted to speak.
"No, no,no!"Amenei tuned out his words.
"Why?"Khai complained.
"Because I said so!"
"But I am your Pharaoh,"Khai stressed.
"And you behave like a CHILD, do you hear yourself at this moment? I cannot allow you to make certain decisions, especially when Queen Kiya is involved."
"What about me?"Kiya asked turning the corner that lead to where Amenei and Khai were.
"Oh nothing,"Amenei quickly dismissed the subject."
"Oooo, you are smiling. Something good?"
"Well guess what?"Kiya turned to Khai smiling before holding up her hands. "Look, my bandages are off!"She said excitedly.
"Really?"Khai said as she took her hands and inspected them.
"Carefully though, they might be off but my hands still hurt a little."
"Soon you will not be able to tell you got a single scratch."
"I really do wish ,"Kiya beamed.
Amenei casted a glance over to Khai before slowly exiting the room.
"What is going on with you two?"Kiya asked puzzled.
"Nothing. Why would you think that?"
"The stares and gazes."
"Is that not regular between us?"
"Well...I suppose."
He took her hand in his.
"It has been forever,"Khai sighed.
Kiya held her head down as his actions stirred up past conversations. She exhaled deeply.
"Umm...would you like to go outside?"Kiya asked lowly.
"I would love to,"he gave her a small smile before leading her to the garden right by the fountain.
Kiya sat at the edge played around in the water with her fingers.
"A lot happened at this place,"Kiya chuckled. " I cried here."
"We made memories here."
"I remember,"she replied softly.
Pharaoh Khai's P.O.V
Living to see her happy, to see her smile. I stood beside her just basking in the aura the space has. Where she first cried and I knew that I lived to make her smile. Where she showed me how to have a good time again.
This was her second time outside since the incident. She had the scars that she hopes will fade away forever to remind her everyday she wakes up.
I turned to check on her because she was so quiet.
"Are you doing well?"I asked
"Yes sure. Just taking in the fresh air,"she gave a faint smile.
"Your mood has changed. What are you thinking about?"
"This is my second time out sin-" I cut her off.
"I know."
She turned her head away and sighed.
"Do not think about that...please,"I went over her. "You do not need that on your mind right now... Or ever."
"I know but-"
"None of that ...please. When I would think about something that I did not want to think about, mother would tell me stories of when she was a child and I would be distracted and forget."
"So that is where you got it from,"she smiled. "You do the same thing."
"I do? Sometimes I do not realize, it just happens."
"Well you do the same thing."
"And I know you can be easily distracted,"I added.
"So I totally forget."
"Her methods do work."
"You seem to like her."
"Well, I did spend most of my time with her. Whether she tied me to a pillar so I would do my work or she was teaching me for life, I was right by her up until her last."
"You did good."
"I miss her everyday, but you help me keep her alive with my memories and the stories."
"I am always here to help."
"From the first day."
"Might I add that I almost got killed because no one knew me."
"But I was there."
"And then there was Xerxes when I was helping Set."
"Do you realize you always get manhandled every time you help someone?"
"And then Nathifa,"she laughed. "I just had to laugh about it . I just realized."
"Because you have as beautiful soul."
"That beautiful soul always gets me in trouble. Ever so bitter sweet...or should be sweetly bitter in my case" she shook her head and laughed.
"Just do one thing for me."
"What would that be?"She asked.
"Just stay the same...and inside the gates."
