67: " Bonding "

"What are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here?" Khai stressed. "I live here."

"I just came to give Kiya her tea that I give her everyday."

"Everyday? How long have you been here?" Khai folded his arms.

"Since you left."

"What?" Khai covered his face and shook his head. "What is happening?" He grumbled to himself.

"She get sick everyday at this time. That is why I am here. Could you please tell me where she is?"

" Zahra I was looking for you."

"Why would you do that ? I always come."

"What? You were looking for her? When did you even leave this room? It is still dark outside and I explanations."

"Could you calm down?" Kiya sighed. "I forgot to tell you that Zahra was staying here for a while. I could not consult with you because you were gone."

" At this point, I know her better than you do."

Kiya stepped inside and sat at the edge of the bed before Zahra followed her gave her the tea. Khai watched on puzzles as Zahra sat beside her and the two sparked a conversation as if Khai was not in the room.

" You should be tired now . You should get some rest." Zahra took the cup as always and left without a word.

" Kiya what just happ- Kiya? Kiya ?" Khai tried calling her. " Is she...asleep?"

Khai's P.O.V

"So Zahra is here..." I folded my arms.

"Oh..." Everyone trailed off.

"Apparently is was not important to tell me so I had to find out extremely early this morning and it was very unpleasant and quite strange."

" We were all caught up that we .... forgot?"

"An excuse?" I looked at Amenei.

"No actually, pure fact."

I covered my face and sighed. "What is happening? She just barged in and was so shocked I was here. Kiya was looking for her, she looked half dead and they ignored me for the entire time they spoke. "

" They do that quite a lot," Ladonna sighed.

"And that tea?"

"So you realized?" They all chimed.

" After she drank it Zahra just took the cup and said she must be sleepy and left. By time she left she was sleeping."

"Yes it happens,"Nathifa sighs.

"She will not wake up for now,"Ladonna added.

"What?"

"I do not know if it is safe to say they are friends?" Amenei shuddered.

"How did this happen?"

" After you left she arrived outside gates and said she wanted a truce between them and My Lady accepted it with conditions that she had to follow if she wanted to stay and that is how it all started," Amenei explained.

" My Queen has your interest at heart saying she did not want to come between family,"Ladonna added.

"I have to ask how are you all feeling about the situation?" They all awkwardly turned away as if to dodge my question.  "Ladonna what do you think?"

" I - I do not know My Lord," she sighed.

"This is the first. "

"Say watch what is happening then you can make a suitable judgement My Lord,"Rada suggested.

"Maybe you are right. Maybe Zahra has come back to her senses. Maybe this is for the better."

I dismissed everyone except Amenei. He took a seat adjacent to me and just stared.

"What?"

"Oh nothing My Lord."

"So why are yo-"

"So how is it going?" He cut me off.

"Well?"

"It is not strange?"

" You mean this entire situation? Of course it is!" I exhaled in frustration. "I just want to protect her."

"And She would like to make things better for you."

"When Zahra said now she knows her better than me..."

"Well you have been gone for quite a long time and she has been here."

"The way she said it. I do not know what light to see her in but Kiya seems to be so comfortable around her."

Amenei strokes his chin. "Just watch and see My Lord. Only then can we make proper judgement."

"Think I should check on her," I got up out of my seat . Amenei bowed as I left the room. I opened the door and saw her curled up sleeping peacefully. I quietly went over to her and sat beside her being careful not to wake her. I kissed her cheek and she stirred in her sleep and turned to face me . I brushed her hair from her face and just stared at her.

"I miss you even now," I sighed. " But I am happy that I get to be by your side again. I wish I could hear your voice at this Moment but the sight and feel of you is enough," whispered to her. Her lips twitched forming short smiles and it warmed my heart. " Thank you for trying your hardest every time. You need to know I appreciate everything you do for me and I hope you stay by me forever because I love you and need you too much to let you out of my life." I leaned in to kiss her cheek again when she turned and my lips met with hers. She slowly opened her eyes and I pulled away.

She exhaled and looked at me with sleep still in her eyes. " Is something wrong?" She yawned.

"Umm... nothing is wrong My Love."

"Hmm sure?" She grumbled as she moved closer to me and hugged my arm.

"Just missed your voice."

She smiled and me before yawning again. " Sorry. I am just so tired."

"I know, you do not have to apologize."

" Mhmm sorry."

I smile formed my face . She always had the habit of apologizing for simple things.

" Just rest . I will be right here by you."
