"He is just like you.  He does not want to sit and listen to his teachers.  Do you know what he told them. "

"Why does he need to be in this so early? "

"That is not what you should ask me. Ask me what he told his teachers. "

"What did he tell his teachers? "

"He told them he was tired sitting down then he got up and told them to walk with him. "

"And... "

"And they just did it. No questions asked! "

"He is heir.  He is executing his power in a firm but respectable way  considering they are older.  "

"Khai! " Kiya drew his name out in a frustrated sigh.

"Let him be Kiya.  It is not that serious. Stop withering away over this. "

"Listen to my frustration! "

"I am listening my love.  Now listen to me as I tell you to let it go. "

Kiya pouted as she threw her weight on Khai and sighed continuously.

"What is wrong all of a sudden."

"He is growing up so fast now.  Look at him.  He thinks he is an adult and he is just at your knee. " Kiya covered her face.  "He was born a day ago in my head when I was worried about him not growing up and now look at him telling people to walk with him because he does not want to sit any more. "

"You were not ready for him to move that fast. "

"I remember when he did not move at all. "

"You poor soul. " Khai patted her head.

"This does not help me. Let me tell you. " Kiya playfully pushed him away and slouched on the wall beside him.  "He will be taking over before I know it. "

"And he will be the best.  Look at him already. " Khai stretched his arm over and held onto Kiya's fingers.  "Do not worry about it.  He will always be your little boy,  and it is not only because I think he won't even be as tall as me when he grows up."

Kiya held her head down and brushed the hair falling in her face back messily .

"This is what we wanted,  remember. For him to grow up."

"I know.  Watching him I am happy but I suppose I was not as ready as I imagined. "

"That is fine to feel. " Khai moved himself in front of her.

"Mhmm, " Kiya looked up at him.

"You are so precious. "

"Did the other conversation disappear? " She raised her eyebrows.

"No because we are still taking about Naeem.  Just focus on his amazing mother."

"Oh stop it! " She laughed.

"Did I make a joke? "

"What do you want?  My attention?  Because now you have it. "

"My lady?" There was loud knocking at the door followed by Nathifa's voice before Khai could say a word.

Kiya moved to the door.  She opened it only pushing her head out.

"Is something the matter Nathifa? "

"Prince Naeem expresses his wish to see his mother before she sleeps. "

"I will be right there. "

Khai held on to Kiya's hand as she spoke.

"So you are leaving? " He leaned next to her ear and whispered breathing.

She remained silent and smiled at Nathifa as bowed getting ready to leave. Khai stayed right beside her breathing down her neck. She pulled on his hand which he pretended not to notice.

"Nathifa, " She called out exhaling deeply.
She then push up the door.  "I am trying to have a conversation.  Could you please..." She trailed off open the door once more.

"You called My Lady? " Nathifa turned around.

"Could I what?  " Khai wreaked havoc on the other side of the door.

"I need a moment.  Just say I will be there in a moment. " Kiya closed the door without waiting for a reply from Nathifa.

"What is your problem? " She said through gritted teeth.

"I thought you were leaving right now.  Then you changed your mind after I asked.  What is your problem?  "

"Stop."

"I really do not think you would want me to. "

"Then do not waste my time,  I only said a moment. "
