"You have been such a big help to me My Princess," Kiya gave Safiyah a tap on her nose .

"Mother," Safiyah brushed her finger away embarassed.

"But really you have . I really appreciate it ."

"You are always welcome."

"Do not spend all day with me now. You should go outside and do something you want to do. I am sure your brothers are around somewhere, you can go with them."

"Umm could I please please go to the river?"

"Safiyah you know..."

"But please Mother , I helped you so well."

"Alright , fine but get some one to follow you and do not let night fall catch you oitside or you will not like it . Understood?"

"Thank you and understood!" Safiyah beemed as she smothered her mother in a hug before rushing off.

"Saf! Safiyah!"

"Yes?" She stopped on the call of her name.

Naeem shifted his attention from Rahsidah to his sister.

" Who are you breaking your neck for ?" He inquired as he walked up to her.

"I have been helping mother so she said I could go to the river ."

"You better break you neck the other way to find someone to go with you. I am sure mother would not let you go alone."

"Come on Naeem! Will I wait forever for your move ?" Rahshida called out inpatiently.

"Wait, I am not talking forever. And do not touch anything!" Naeem replied to him .

"Big brother since you are here..." She trailed off.

Taking a quick glance back at Rahshida he replied. "Sure. Just give me a moment."

Naeem went back over to Rahshida .

"I am going with Safiyah to the river, do you want to come with me?"

"I will stay inside," he sighed.

"Stop being like that ," Naeem nudged his brother with is knee. "I will not take long. You are so impatient. Do better."

"Just go," Rahshida rubbed his arm.

Naeem ruffled his hair playfully before he went back to Safiyah.

"Shall we go ?" He asked as he held her hand .

She nodded as she took the lead pulling Naeem behind her .

"So, what do you want at the river?"

"While I was helping mother I looked out the window and saw some flowers there. I just wanted to take a closer look," Safiyah replied as she swung both their arms back and forth.

Naeem chuckled. "You should show this side of you more."

"What do you mean?"

"The side of you that is less of a protector. Makes me feel to keep you safe always."

"You are very embarrassing," Safiyah held her head down. "Why do you say such things."

"Ha, look at you being shy." Naeem leaned over and lightly pushed her over. "You are more grounded than Rashidah, he is an open book, but you have many more sides to you than you let us see."

"I suppose I could be less grounded then?" She smiled.

"And here we are." Naeem released her hand .
"Be careful."

"I know," she called out as she manuvered her away along the banking. "Naeem look !" She waved to him and she stooped down next to the wild flower growing near the edge of the water.

"Please be careful Safiyah."  Naeem said as he moved to make his way over to her.

"They are even better up close." She touch the tiny clustered petals of the flowers softly. "There is something so entrancing about wild flowers, different from the ones we have in the garden. "

Naeem went over and crouched down beside her.

"I am usually inside at this time so I never really got to look at things when the sun is going down. "

"I think one day you will be able to stay out all night ," Safiyah tried to reassure her brother.

"I suppose that's a dream," he replied softly.

"We should head back before nightfall though or mother will be upset, especially if she knew you came with me . "

"I know, I know," Naeem sighed as he got up.

"She is only looking out for you. "

"I get it," he held out his hand to help his sister up. "How about we come back tomorrow? With enough time I could make you a flower crown ."

"Really!" She jumped to her feet. "I never had one of those. You can make it?"

"Call it my hidden skill."

"Ok, let's come back together!"
